Hello everyone, I am Stephanie and landscape photographer and storm chaser based in Oklahoma. I grew up in the heart of tornado alley so every Spring we would see severe weather. This is where my love for weather was born. My dad also chased when he was younger and passed the passion along to me
Around middle school they got me a point and shoot camera and from there my love for photography was born. I suffered from a lot of anxiety and depression and photography was my escape. The love of storms also fueled my love for photography. Every time it would storm, I would run outside to take pictures or hop on my bike to chase down the perfect picture.
I have been passionately chasing for the last 10 years, being on the road chasing storms is my happy place it is my therapy it's the calm to my chaos. There is no greater feeling than watching a stunning supercell move across and open field. I feel most alive when I am under those stormy skies.
I am also super passionate about landscape photography and when I am not chasing, I spend my time traveling around taking in stunning landscapes. For me it is another form of therapy and healing. You see in a way photography saved my life from some of my darkest times in life. Exploring new places and taken in the beauty of the world heals my soul.

Awesome photos. I would love to see a tornado up close like your photos. Not sure if the fear would overwhelm the desire to see it though....

That is quite the face in that sand dunes picture. That cloud looks even grumpier than the tornadoes. I am completely terrified of the power of nature, and as a result am totally obsessed with tornado pictures. So carry on:)
