I walked down to the lake today to check out the colors. Its overcast so the colors don't show up great but the lake was flat for some nice reflections.
This cabin always flies the colors 🙂 but I'm still waiting for the best fall colors.
The local weather forecaster says we should be a peak color in our area but right now thats only true at the higher elevations.
Too bad because the lake was cooperative today with a nice mirror surface.

Thats a nice spot on the lake with the cabins and brightly colored awnings, chairs, usually come boats too but those are put away for the winter.

Sounds like you had a beautiful day at the lake, even if the colors weren't as vibrant as you'd hoped. The overcast skies can definitely make it challenging to get the best fall foliage photos, but it looks like you were able to capture some nice reflections of the cabin in the still water.
