Hiked up to Lenny's Lookout in Addison County, Vermont yesterday.
Lenny's Lookout is above Lake Dunmore. Looking west you can see all the way to the snow capped Adirondack Mountains in New York. We hiked from the south Silver Lake trailhead up to the lookout. Its about 1.5 miles up to Silver Lake and then a short side trail takes you out to the lookout. Great story on the lookout history here
It was a lovely day for a hike.
Even all the way up here, you can see reflections on the lake 🙂
There is a powerline cut going down from the hydroelectric plant up at Silver Lake. But the views are still spectacular.
In addition to the reflections, there is also a small island in Lake Dunmore.
The island is home to the nest of a pair of loons that come back every year. They like the seclusion of the island.
Another shot of the reflections that I couldn't keep the powerlines out of 🙁
The best reflection shot 😍

Thanks. Its been a incredible fall here. Great weather.
I didn't know New York had a place like that 👍🏻.
Upstate New York is like a whole different world than New York City. Its rural and very beautiful. A lot like Vermont 🙂
