A found a very cute group of mushrooms along my walk. Very photogenic 🙂
I like the pattern of the holes eaten out of the mushrooms by bugs. The small pink flower is Herb Robert or Geranium robertianum
These are Shaggy Mane mushrooms. More info on wikipedia at link. They are growing in Addison County, Vermont along a road through a wooded area with a nice canopy. The shiny leaved ground cover is periwinkle Periwinkle has nice light blue blooms in the spring.
The tall green forest above the tall mushrooms haha
Fun to see more new mushrooms growing up below the older, taller mushrooms. There were mushrooms at this location last summer too. Shaggy Mane are quick to pop up and quick to dissolve away. I'll take a look again on my walk today but I expect these are mostly gone.
Your level lowered and you are now a Red Fish!

So beautiful mushroom. It’s my first time seeing a mushroom like this, it’s kinda rare for me 🥰
Thanks. We have had a wet spring so lots of mushrooms out there 🙂
I tried cooking these a couple times. Unfortunately the best way is just putting them in soup. Any other way makes them melt and get too slimy.
There were a few young ones but most of these were past their prime anyway.
Very cool this mushroom village, no Smurfs around? 😀
