Originally my style of photography was Documentary Photography, so I thought my best work was taking candid shots. It's possible to take a great profile picture by commissioning another photographer, but it's probably hard for anyone to create an image as part of everyday life. Documentary-style photography isn't just about taking great pictures.
Model Juni (Kid-dol student Lee Ji-ah)
It was at Dongdaemun Design Plaza that I first met Lee Ji-ah, a student who is currently active as a child idol and doing various activities such as a model, dancer, and actor. I was very surprised to see him wearing clothes that would be difficult for ordinary people to wear and taking various poses comfortably. Of course, I don't know if you have to do this from a young age to be a model in the industry, but it's no wonder I was surprised because even adult amateur models can't do this kind of pose naturally and easily.
I have to tell you, your photography is absolutely stunning! Seriously, your images are a breath of naturally.
I agree that your original style of documentary photography really made your work stand out. It captures the essence of everyday life so beautifully. It's all about finding that perfect balance between capturing the real and creating something magical.
