A Moody Mono Monday

A Moody Mono Monday

Continuing on with my habit of posting Mono shots on a Monday morning, today going with a few what I think are moody shots.
Starting in the cemetery close to where we live the Oak Grove Cemetery, but I guess there was no need to say that as its there clear as you can see on the sign.

At least this is just a sign for information so many signs we see these days are telling us what we can or more often telling us what we cannot do, such as no parking, no trespassing, etc etc you know what I mean.
I guess thats a bit of negativity on my part, but maybe that fits with some moody shots, and I really cant go much more moody as I strive to be Mr Positive :)

Next up a fallen tree in one of the trails I walk here after one of the storms earlier this year

This is in the Allen C. Haskell Public Gardens it looks cool in color, bright and sort of cheery, but in Mono it comes across as dark and moody to me

And this is one of the buildings in fort Taber Park, one morning when I was hoping to get shots of the full moon, but it was hidden way behind the clouds for most of my walk that morning, but as I do often I snapped a few shots anyway including this one, which has a dark almost haunted feel to it to me when editing in mono, again in contrast to how it looks in color in the daylight

And to finish off this post a shot o=in Fort Phoenix Park with the sign and the anchor, now this shot is not so moody to me and I thought good to finish off with a warmer feeling shot to end out the post

There is an oak grove cemetery one town over from where I grew up that has resting places dating back to the the 1700's. Some of the older markers and monuments have the most amazing sculpture work!

Does that last shot have any filters? It almost looks like it has infrared qualities. That one was my favorite of the post!

I love checking out old cemeteries like the one you described
That last photo I did a different style of editing to give that effect

Nicee. Uyeee!

Oh, the moody blues right here! I have to say that I like them all, but, that first shot is the one that pulled me in. What is it about black and white that really brings the mood home??

Even that happy park shot is exactly as you say, a little moody, despite it all. I don't mean this in a bad way, the shots are fabulous!

I hope you are having a great Monday!

Thanks and nothing you said could be taken in a bad way

A cool day here was 20F when I got up lol

I liked that rosty ball..its my favorite for some reason...I feel like it has a deep story to it...one with neglect and all

Thanks for your feedback it is a cool piece for sure

Aw, man, these are fantastic. I need to get out and photograph some cemeteries again; they're always great subjects, and they never complain about the camera!

I really like that spherical 'sculpture' in the garden. That appeals to me for some reason.

LOl at they never complain about the camera but so true :)
I to like that sphere not sure why but I do find it so eye catching
