Early morning down by the port

Over the last week or so we have had some days where it has been fairly mild, and by Fairly mild I mean around freezing point as the sun rises, and I felt the need to get out for some walks and early morning is the best time for me to walk, todays photos are from one such walk down by the port.

Starting with these fishing boats and the reflections on the water

There was a good bit of fog the morning

I took this walk, which gave a cool perhaps mysterious perhaps eerie feel to the port, to add to that there was a strange noise, not sure how to explain it, it wasn't loud like it was in the distance, but was hmm kind of like the sound of chains dragging on the ground. I heard it on and off all though my walk that morning, and it didn't matter where I was in the port, it was there in the distance always, Maybe it was my mind running wild with the fog, but it was a strange feeling at times.

But enough of that back to the photos, at a spot I often stop by and look at the boats

And some more boats and the foggy background, looking at these as I prepare this post I guess I went with a more moody feel to these edits, perhaps I weas thinking about the sounds I was hearing while walking as I edited these photos

Yeah, noise can often sound strange or spooky through the fog, especially when you can't identify where the noise comes from ... ist must have been the a Klabautermann, a ship's kobold. Maybe he wanted to get photographed but he couldn't find you in the fog 😉
