I may or may not be a tree hugger

I may or may not be a tree hugger

but this post will focus on a few trees I have seen on various walks around the area, starting with this barren tree beside the pond in Buttonwood Park

I often take shots of trees on my walks and sometimes the walks and under the trees, you all know I love walks by the water, but I also do love walks in woods or where there are trees around,

this next shot is also in Buttonwood Park and during the day unlike most of my daily walks.

and from a sunny day shot back to what I have been taking more of recently early morning shots, this one at the end of the Harbor walk when the sky was lit up with some nice warm reds

and from dark back to light another shot on a day time walk through Buttonwood Park, preparing this post reminds me its been a while since I took a stroll through the park, so I plan to revisit it again soon, its such a nice refreshing area to walk.

And finishing off the walk with a sunrise shot of a tree on East Beach, combining two of my favorite, well three of my favorite subjects, the water, sunrise and a tree

Now back to the title for those who read down to this point, Am I a tree hugger?

Yes I have hugged the odd tree over the years, but I am not a compulsive tree hugger LOL mainly it has been if I come across a big tree and wonder if I can reach my arms around it, I remember one we came across in Afriva, Uganda I think, where we came across a huge tree and a few of us were intrigued how many of us it would take to form a circle around the tree and touch hands, we though it would take 6 or more but only needed 3 or four to do it I think

I'm neither a tree hugger, but I do respect them and from time to time I greet an old tree when I pass it. Just imagine what stories the old trees could tell us. They know the truth about what has happened when our grand parents weren't even born :)

First and last photo are equally my favourites today JJ 😀

I love watching the trees against the backdrop of an evening sunset. The shadow outline of the tree is amazing.

Thanks for sharing. Have a good rest of your week.

Read through @dreemport

Thanks and yes I to live trees with a nice sky highlighting them

Powerful shots... The first one is the best for me.. I can't just stop staring at it. How were you able to capture that?... I wish I could have that as part of my collections.. The last image is nice also.. Keep it up sir.

I think i hugged a tree back in my younger years... we have some childhood games and we used to climb trees, we'd always hug them before climbing ...

Beautiful trees..i always love sunset and so i pick the first image

That brings back memories I was a great tree climber when I was young and I used to always hug or pat the tree before climbing

Ooh, thanks to you post, I now knew that there is such a thing to call to those people

On Sunday I will be sharing more trees for fall colors

Fall is in full power here too ❤🍁I think its the awesome way of Nature easing us into the cold white(hopefully) winter by distracting us with amazing colors 😄 Look at those pretty colors🍂🍁🍂.....aaand💨❄blizzard in a few months 😁😁😁
It will be great to see some fall colors from another part of the world. 👍

That’s how I feel about Fall as well nature teasing us eith color before a grey winter
