Silvershell Beach
Now I have titled this post Silvershell beach, but most of this post will focus on the area beside and behind the beach itself, but since I parked in Silvershell beach car park and since I am terrible with thinking of titles for my posts I would just call it SilverShell Beach.
these photos are actually from a visit back there in May, but I had not got around to editing them till yesterday, its a nice spot in a small town called Marion, and strictly speaking the beach is closed until 7AM, there is no sign that says that, but a Policemen let me know one morning, but also said it was fine for me to be there taking photos, so I still visit there every now and again.
As I said this post os focusing on areas beside the beach starting with this image, at the end of the beach is a little green area where one cam look across a bay

Some nice properties are behind this little green area and I could picture myself living in a place like that so close to the water, but then I think about the damage I have seen from Hurricanes and storms in New England, and wonder if these are back enough from the water to be safe.

as I have said its a little green area and this next photo shots it is indeed little but with the views over the water and birds chirping in the reeds and trees its such a lovely spot

another view from this area, with the long exposure that was needed the reeds and not crisp with the movement from the breeze I know some may find that distracting ot off putting but I wuite like the effect myself

Heading out of the green area, the reeds off to the right and the beach off to the left

Now I know I would focus on areas other than the beach, but finishing off with a couple of shots of the beach

All in all it was a nice morning by the water and a great start to the day

what a beautiful beach Silvershell Beach
It is a lovely spot
Love that last one! So beautiful
Thanks kindly 👍😎👍
I do like the soft look of those reeds with the long imposture. I also really like the next one after that with the gold hues in the sky from impending sunrise!
Thanks for your visit and feedback
Looks like a beautiful start to the day 🙂 Happy Tuesday. I've always thought "if you can afford that beautiful house on the seashore, you can afford to rebuild it" lol
Thanks and yes that’s a good point
Such a wonderful place @tattoodjay
The houses tucked away… the green all looks lovely. Great captures.
I don’t mind the reeds… 🤓😉
But yes, probably to close to the beach… even though, I wouldn’t mind living there. It looks so peaceful and beautiful 😊👋🏻
It does seem such a peaceful and beautiful area I love visiting this beach
I can imagine… it truly looks lovely 😊
How busy does that area get in the summer?
I have never been there on the weekend during the day but I would imagine it gets very busy
Probably…
Will make a whole different feel to living in those houses I think.
That's a good point the beach no doubt gets noisy in weekends
Thought so 🤓😎
Those colors are perfect :) ... I could imagine you having a place by the water, we would get so many more of your spectacular pictures 🙌

I am happy being a bit of a distance from the water safe and sound and a short drive to the beaches here
I know :) But maybe one day you'll find the perfect place!
Maybe 👍😎👍

Dang, those are some really nice houses. Awesome photos too!
There was just a news story on the the other morning and they were talking about how if the ice caps melted the water level would rise up to the statue of liberties elbow or something like that. They would likely be wiped out at that point!
Thanks
And yes if the ice caps melt that will change everything some island states will be in big trouble
Wow, what a beautiful place 😍
It truly is 😎
The place looks so calm and seems a perfect one if you wanted an escape from the city.
I will be glad to stroll around here.
It truly is so peaceful especially early mornings when I go there
Wow! If the area beside and behind the beach can look this good, I can just imagine how the main area of the beach would look.
These photos are beautiful, you really do take amazing photos. I particularly love the view of the sunrise ☺️.
It truly is such a lovely spot
Wow! Beautiful iridescent blue-golden- orange sky
Thanks was a nice display that morning
I bet those houses cost a few bucks!
Ohh for sure way out of my budget lol

Marian is lovely, her beach really knows how to welcome the morning. I am a fan of the soft reeds giving the focus to the beach, I think it addsxa nice touch to the pictures.
I think for the most part, it depends on where/how the hurricane hits. I've live beachside three times and never real damage, except once where it took the house down in Mexico Beach, although I was no longer living there!
Thank you for the beauty. It lets me breathe deeply and with pleasure when perusing the photos.
Have a great evening.
Thanks for your visit
Your description of the beach fits it so well
So true it all depends where or how the hurricane comes in I saw so much damage along the shore after one hit Milford it put me off thinking of like bing near the water
I knowcwhat you mean. The shore is close but doesnt sit on the water.
Exactly 😎👍😎
