Some cool art around the city

Well the end of the year is almost upon us, wishing all those who go out and celebrate the arrival of the new Year to have fun but be sensible

I will be having a quiet night at home off to bed at our normal time, staying up till midnight used to be my norm nowadays its just to late for me, I conceed I am gettign old lOL

For this post I am going to share some shots of some cool art pieces around the City of New Bedford MA

A lot of people online seem to be always complaining about this and that here in New Bedford, I often think they are so busy looking for things to complain about, they are in blinkers blocking their view of all the beauty that is around us.
Perhaps I am overly postive, soem of the family and friends do jokingly call me Mr Positive, but I choose to be that way sure there are problems everywhere if you look for them, but there is also beauty to be found wherever one is and that is what I try to focus on and share

The idea for this post come on a recent walk around the port and I noticed this what I guess is an electricla box in the middle of a bust road, well not on the road on a median between lanes on the road

I think its fairly new or maybe as I have only bene there mostly in the dark of the early morning perhaps i had not noticd it, but I think its a cool piece of art with a nice positive message

This next piece has bene around since i moved here, I believe it is honoring some of the local Jazz musicians

That's some great art! I hope you have a happy New Year as well. My wife and I will likely just have some appetizers at home and watch some sports or shows on TV. I have a feeling we may not even stay up to watch the ball drop! I learned the other day that my hometown has a Facebook page dedicated to it called Midland Complains. It's basically just people whining and that really made me sad. So I totally get what you are saying!

My wife went to bed earlier than me, and i grabbed a ball I had and dropped it in the lounge before she settles, and said there we stayed up till the ball dropped lOL

You have many artists there. Nice murals and street arts. We used to have some work of arts here in our streets but the artists have gone old and the newer generation has lost interest in this kind of art. Most of them are into mobile games and esports. Happy new year !BBH

Those are some fun pictures! That first one is cool, an artist sharing strength and support. The Jazz musicians mural is nice as well as the sharks and fish. That big rooster out of recycled materials is always surprisingly nice, he did a great job. Great pictures!
