Street art
Following up from yesterdays post of the Mural downtown, I thought I would share some other street art, these are all at the Corner of Acushnet Ave and Nash Road in New Bedford
This is on the Side of the Folco Jewelers and i have drove past it many times, with traffic and often cars parked in front of it, its been a challenge to get a shot of it, and i am not to happy with these shots, but its a cool Mural and I wanted to share it
from what I foudn online it was painted back in 2015 and is lasting well in my eyes

The three painters who produced the mural are Old Rochester Regional grads. Local artist Ryan McFee put the finishing touches Tuesday on the piece, but it was Todd Woodward, now based in Brooklyn, who designed it, drawing it first on paper and then communicating the vision. McFee dealt with the city requirements while Fairhaven’s Doug Motta spent a week’s vacation lending his brush skills.
The mural depicts a mermaid wearing jewelry, diamonds and rubies, and other water themes such as the whaling ship Charles W. Morgan riding the waves, and the Butler Flats lighthouse.
And across the road from this large Mural are a few small squares on the side of another building

As winter was approaching when I took these shots and flowers in gardens had faded away these were the best I could do for flower shots at the time LOL

I really like how they pushed the limits of the borders with the flowers across the street. That is pretty cool. Man, there is some really high quality stuff in your new town! Very cool!

Really like the one with the mermaid. As a former whaling city its quite appropriate for the area :) Is the fishing industry still quite large there? I grew up in MD but was so intent in getting out West in my youth I missed most of the NE.
Yes a lot of fishing still done here lots of commercial fishing boats go out each day
