Sublime and Beautiful Sunday
This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.
I recently shared a post showing some art down near the Port here in New Bedford which included a pieaceby an artist Maxwell Emcays and entitled New Bedford: our woven story
this art piece is one of many are hosted by DATMA and are an exhibit called Shelter 2023
and I said at the time
I will be honest I did not find it as striking as the first piece in the dull morning light, but it is lit up at night and probably looks a lot more striking and eye catching then
Well I did not make it down to see it at night but one morning I woke earlier and decided to head to this area and check it out and that lead to this post
DATMA is committed to bringing world-renowned art, design, and technology exhibitions, programs, and initiatives to the sidewalks and streets of South Coast, Massachusetts.
Identified as one of the Commonwealth’s most creative economies by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, DATMA has a headquarters in New Bedford where it has worked with talented artists and organizations on collaborative projects that leave you inspired and energized.

and I must say I think it looks so better lit up in the dark

so I took shots of it from various angles and even stands out as one drives down the road past it, it really catches ones eye

but I did mess up on one shot forgetting I was taking a long exposure and I rotated the camera, but I like how it actually ended up
I guess what I should have said I decided to have a bit of fun and rotated the camera during one shot to get a surreal and cool effect

Bro there is so much to share in your country. I also love photography but could not find any interesting places in my town.
Indeed I am lucky where i live so many beautiful spots
It's wonderful to see how art can transform a place, especially when it's illuminated at night.
Your journey to check out the "New Bedford: our woven story" piece by Maxwell Emcays sounds like a great experience.
Thanks for sharing this cultural gem! 🎨🌟
Thanks I was glad I got to see it in the dark it look so much better than during the day
Hi bro!... Well, I think you're right that it shouldn't be so striking at first glance in the daytime, but in the dark there is a magic to this art, magic that in my opinion improved a lot when you turned your camera hahaha, it looks very cool indeed and I imagine the exposure would be more captivating if you had these effects. Loved your pictures, they are simple, but the play of lights in the dark are enchanting 😍
Thanks kindly your support is appreciated
Have a great day

Haha. yes!
That's an interesting structure alright. I bet it does look pretty smashing in the middle of the night.
👍🙂👍
Cool and sublime Sunday post. Its interesting that art is often best viewed in certain situation like at night when it lights up or when the sunlight is a certain way or from a certain distance or perspective.
yes perspective and time of day can change the whole feel for sure
