Wednesday Walk woohoo I got out for a walk in Buttonwood park

I am glad to report that for the first time in quite a while I am sharing photos from a recent walk, we had a nice day and I went to buttoonwood Park here in New Bedford for a walk, was so nice to be out I strolled around for a couple of hours enjoying the fresh air.
I started ny walk by the pond as I usually do, with the warmer weather half of the ice off the pond had melted away and as you can see there were plenty of birds on the pond, some ones I had not seen before but will do a seperate post on that at some stage.

After walking around the pond i came back down this path across fromthe pond not a lot of colors for the most part apart from dull browns but still nice to be about.
MY shoulder was playing up again that day so I only took a couple of lighter lenses, my biggest lens would hve ben handy for shots of the birds, but i was struggling holding my camera up and steady with the light lens and my shoulder was aching for a few days afterwards so glad I didnt try to take and use my big heavy lens

and I then strolled into the bushy park of the park

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.
This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines
Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.
Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.
Try and get a few shots not just one
Add a bit of a write up about where you walked
Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week
You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.
Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss
Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .
Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.
I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules
I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.
I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

Wow, this is truly the most enjoyable walk. there are many things to enjoy. The birds in the lake look very happy even though it's cold.

Those areas off the path look pretty sloppy! I am glad you were able to get out and take a walk though. Before too long all of the ice will be gone!
Ohh yeah parts were very sloppy, and I forgot to wear my beach sloppy ground shoes, but didnt get my good shoes too dirty LOL

I'm glad you're hiking, but still beware of the cold. I love those paths, the trees and the pond, that red tree stands out and I love it! Thanks for this hike!

It looks like you had a nice stroll regardless of your shoulder. Just a pity you had to pay the price with your shoulder aching for a few days afterwards...

Hopefully when it warms up my shoulder will stop bothering me, been so tempted to make an appointment to get it checked these last few days but putting it off

Your park looks like a forest with a pond nearby, and it is pure nature. I'm so glad you took that walk, which you cherished. I hope the pain will pass soon and the weather becomes more pleasant.
