West Beach
With it getting cooler here I have bene skipping my Morning sunrise walks but have got out for a few evening sunset walks in a few different spots, but one of my favorite spots to walk is along West beach, its a nice long strip so good for getting steps in and by the water which is always a big plus for me :)
How do I know its West beach well this cool mural on the side of a building there makes it hard ot miss what this beach is called :)
And those that follow me know I love seeing art around the city so I had to get this first shot

On the other side of the building is a new art piece as I understand it this is new and was only painted this last year I think the cool nautical sea shell design is perfect beside the water and beach, and as you can see there was some nice colors of sunset that evening

And sticking with art, I spotted this little piece of chalk art, clearly someone love the beach life, I do love walks by the beach any time of year even in Winter, but swimming and the full beach life package is something I haven't done for years

Oh yes, I love these photos - the art matches the sunrise colors perfectly, so nice 😍
My last beach life was in 2018 and lasted about an hour, then I had enough of laying around 😁

My wife loves to lay in the sun and read a book, often from the morning till the sun goes down. An hour or two, with a bit swimming or better snorkeling and a walk up and down the beach in between is enough for me.

Cool mural with waves, now is that sea not flat at the moment or am I seeing things...
Shell has lovely use of colour in photography on blue backdrop, blue merging going up the wall, one knows you at a coastal town when blue is the base colour used.

Murals pop up here then after a few years get repainted it is very coastal.
Water is flat compared to our seas, perhaps low tide when taken. 😉
Yes your right it was low tide when I took those shots, but also because this is a little peninsular the waves here arent as strong as on other parts of the coast
Satin smooth finish gave the game away 😂

I love the one with the side view of that new art....I know I can't see it as well...but with the light and the perspective...it just looks really inviting!
But I think my favorite is the chalk drawing hehehehe
It's just simple and a piece of someone's life! They left it there for someone to enjoy and they had no idea it would end up on the Blockchain! Hahahahhaa
And probably never will!!! That always makes me think about how many pictures we end up in....like .. personal albums of other people just because we happened to walk into the shot when they were taking the family picture.or something hahahaha
Heard a really funny story about that once.
Two people that met in their 20s and got married... The wife was looking through an album and talking about where they had visited...the husband was like seriously??? We used to go there too...and probably would have been there at the same time!!!
They looked through the album and actually found a super old picture and the husband was visible in one of the pictures...just walking through the picture . Hahahahahahahaha
They couldn't believe that they had actually "MET" 20 years prior. Hahahahhaa crazy right?!?!

Last couple of days it hasnt been so cold, or maybe I am getting used to it and have got in morning sunrise walks, which suits me better I am a morning persona nd prefer early morning walks,
But yes I have got out for some evening walks as well nice to catch the odd sunset I must say
I to though that chalk art was so cool and fun I did love it and yeah done for fun and whimsy and here it is on the blockchain :)
I think I shared a shot straight on the new art, ( OK i went and checked yeah I did) but I have noticed for me sometimes photos are not loading in posts maybe that happened , its a cool piece in the shape of a sea shell and nice design on it
Maybe because i take photos and perhaps because i hate being in photos I would like to think I notice when people are taking photos and go out of my way to avoid being in shot, but yes your right i am sure there are photos of me and us all in so many other peoples personal photos without us even knowing
That story is crazy but i am sure it has happened to many others who never happened to look through their photos together

we got a TON of snow today... so much snow. atmopheric river dumped on us (and is supposed to keep coming hahahah)
You should see the trees - they are like - hanging so low with all the weight of the snow. probably about a foot so far??? ughhhh LOL
i had no power for a bit - and no internet LOL
come take all this snow from me!!!!!!!! LOL
Yeah its doing better, I probably shouldn't be over doing it with comments but I am getting used to typing in such a way I don't bump it much and not having the stupid metal brace on helps.
Its actually doing a lot better i can bend it a little now and will keep exercising it to get full movement back
I saw online about the atmospheric river, isnt nature amazing, although maybe not amazing when you have so much snow dumped on you I hope your power stays on and the snow doesnt impact you too much

Winter has really taken over here, and it's misty, gloomy and gray days and night. The transition between day and night is barely noticeable.

Thanks for asking its not my arm but my finger, doing better no longer have to wear the metal brace but meant to keep it buddy wrapped most of the day and try to exercise it a little and let swelling go down, its getting better slowly thankfully
Glad to hear! I got through it with my mother, she was unruly patient and now illnesses and troubles accumulate. Wish you full recovery ASAP. Cheers!

Beach life indeed! There are usually few people in your shots; are you just lucky, or are you
morepatientthan meand wait for them to move out of the way?With it being cooler less people are out walking but yes I generally try and wait to get shots without people in, althought I should sometimes include people in shots it adds some scale sometimes

That is an amazing piece of art, with the display of the pearl and the intricate pattern of the shell. I really love the evening sun in the winter, many times it trumps the morning... all things being equal, if you are on the beach, they are always good. :)
There is something so calming about the colors in the last shot like you are closing up for the night, putting away everything. Perhaps I am just addicted to the ocean and am drawn to the daily walks along the shore... life is so different, the further inland you get.
The entire mentality of the water world has an overall feelgood to me. Art rules here. So many nice pieces and murals. Good morning from here!

and I love the beach morning or evening, but your right at this time of year the sunrises are nice but the sunsets seem more vivid and warm

I guess that begs the question, is there an East Beach somewhere? It is actually a bit funny it is called West Beach given you are on the East coast. I am guessing it is like the Southern part of the state so there is a west and east beach... I am babbling though, great shots! Thanks for sharing!

That oyster/clam shell is really cool!

The colors in every one of these are just so fitting for the scene. The brights blues, oranges, and pinks all come together so well. Each picture is pleasing to the eye and I love that. Favorite being the beach life chalk graffiti on the ground, very Miami esc.

I can imagine the hall space being used for large beach gathering (without the sand) yet open air... such as a Chilly Cold Christmas by the Beach... still much better for weddings during Spring or Summer!
