Holiday Long Exposure

With a very busy holiday season, getting out to shoot has been impossible! But on this night I quickly had some long exposure fun in downtown Hamilton Ont.

Starting at the Christmas tree in front of city hall. I thought about doing light trails of the traffic in the background, tree in the foreground, from multiple angles. Until I remembered a technique that I rarely use. Setting the exposure to 30 seconds and while taking the shot, zooming in and out.

Very happy with the results and seeing/remembering how the effect looks with text, I went over to the Hamilton sign.

After that, I just took a walk around the block. Playing with the traffic.
