This morning I woke up extra early and decided to go out for sunrise. It was pretty cloudy, so I didn't expect a lot of color but I was wrong. Looking east from downtown Hamilton Ont. a nice magenta and yellow streak along the horizon gave a beautiful look and feel.
I flew the drone around looking for different angles and shots, and remembered that I have wanted to shoot one building from above, for quite some time. The Medical Arts building on James Street South.
The 7 story tall art deco office building was opened in 1930 as a central hub for medical professionals and remains that until this day. The lit Medical Arts sign on the roof of the building is a local landmark, but hasn't always been in it's current location. Now facing the south side of the building, for many years it faced north, the change came after other buildings went up and blocked it's view.
After buzzing around the building, I brought the drone back (snapping a couple of more shots along the way).
