We call it Zuma Rock!

In a glimpse you sight the beautiful figure and signature of the city of Abuja, Nigeria. A country with a diverse culture, languages and tribes.

Every country seem to have that one signatory craft or mark that makes it a cosmopolitan city for all cultures and people with different marks. The amazing thing about these amazing cities is that everyone there is seen as one. No discrimination or any kind or tribalism. It’s a place for everyone to be themself without criticism or discrimination.

For us here in Nigeria, it’s the beautiful city of Abuja. Which is the federal capital territory and its signature is the ZUMA rock.

The Zuma road is one of things you encounter first when you arrive into Abuja or when you’re leaving Abuja. It’s also one of those things that you really want to go explore when you visit the beautiful city. I’m going to write a post personally about the beautiful city of Abuja and share some exciting pictures. But I want you to learn about Zuma rock today.

Zuma rock is very large stone, not exactly located inside the city of Abuja but surely one of the best places to visit for a beautiful sight is the Zuma rock. And there’s a nice and comfy relaxation park and hospitality around it. It’s specifically a part of Niger state (Madala), Nigeria, but when you talk about Zuma rock, people think Abuja. Although between the Madala and the beautiful city of Abuja can even be a walk by foot #haha well yes that’s how close they are.

Stories are told about this large rock. Note that this rock isn’t a rock one can climb by foot or using cliff hangers. It’s super swift and slippery. Although helicopters do try to land on top of it but there’s no clear success story reported.

It is basically an iconic symbol or attraction for Abuja. It serves as a gateway to Abuja. I love this sight of this huge stone/rock. Thought I tried to read about people to climb the stone, but it appears there’s no record or coverage of anyone climbing the stone.

Also this large natural monolith is surrounded by a small community of homes and also now an attraction site. Explorers get to visits from all around the world and spend some in cozy yet natural view and apartments and catch a glimpse of the green scenery of the park around the large rock.

I will definitely write more about the beautiful city of Abuja. Please tell me if you will love to visit this beautiful scenery and i will be your picture buddy and tour guide #yay. And you can share your experience if have been to the Zuma rock before. Thank you.

Let’s have a more closer view. ;)
