Palampur Tea Garden | Wah Tea | The Mountain Sheep

Hello hivers its been a long time since i posted something on hive. Its happened because as we are growing day by day the stress and responsibilities also increasing day by day. Last week I went to my friends home in Palampur and he make tea for me it was very refreshing and also it reduce my stress level for an extent. When I asked him where did you get this tea from? He took me to the tea garden near by his home.
Its a very old tea producing farm which is founded by the britishers in 1857 in Palampur,Himachal Pradesh. They are still cultivating from this farm.
It also survived a earthquake in 1905. After that it was taken by Sikander Hayat khan who is the son of nawab who lived in a place name Wah which is situated in pakistan.
The word wah means wow which is very much justified because whenever you will drink the tea or go to the farm the reaction you will get is same.
Later on in 1953 it was taken by the Chaiwala family.
Chaiwala family is famous for the for the tea producing company. But as the family grew up the plantation is divided in between younger generation. But the name Chaiwala continues to bind them together. Wah tea is now take care by the 3rd and 4th generation of the family.
Wah tea is now looked after by Deepak and Surya Prakash. They grew up visiting the tea gardens and later on they decided to make a lodge near the factory which is still there and some people running a cafe and it becomes a tourist place now.
It was a wonderful experience to visit the tea garden and having fresh tea from the garden. You should also try this 'wah tea' and let me know how much you liked it. If you liked my blog please let me know in the comments.
