Hello everyone and a blessed day to you all! The weekend was drawing to a close again and even though I was dragging hard, I also treated myself to a super new hiking route.
Hallo zusammen und euch allen einen gesegneten Tag! Das Wochenende neigte sich wieder dem Ende und auch wenn ich hart geschleppt habe, gönnte ich mir auch eine super neue Wanderroute.
After we took all the blankets, towels and sheets from a household clearance to the local animal shelter and put them in the donation box, I was dropped off at a place full of memories. I was familiar with the place, just not with the means to get home. Funnily enough, I had the idea of installing a pedometer app to see how much I would walk during the hike.
Nachdem wir die ganzen Decken, Handtücher und Laken einer Haushaltsauflösung zum Tierheim in der Nähe brachten und in die Spendenbox taten, ließ ich mich an einen Ort voller Erinnerungen absetzen. Der Ort war mir bekannt, nur nicht seine Möglichkeiten, die mich nach Hause bringen sollten. Witzigerweise kam mir die Idee, einen Schrittzähler als App zu installieren, um zu erfahren, wie viel ich wohl laufen würde während der Wanderung.
So I savoured the silence of the memories in this place and started to make my way. Apart from the fact that I forgot to take my walking sticks with me, it was quite good walking so far. Wide fields, a little hilly landscape, the spring flowers already in full splendour on the edges of the paths and forest notches were wonderful to look at. You could still see many remnants of kale in the fields, the foliage covering the coming spring flowers and forming a beautiful colour contrast between the ephemeral and the new ephemeral.
Also genoss ich die Stille der Erinnerungen an diesem Ort und fing an, mir meinen Weg zu bahnen. Abgesehen davon, dass ich meine Wanderstöcke vergaß mitzunehmen, war es soweit ganz gut zu laufen. Weite Felder, ein wenig hügelige Landschaft, die Frühlingsblumen schon in voller Pracht an Wegesrändern und Waldkerbungen waren herrlich anzusehen. Man sah noch viele Reste von Grünkohl auf den Feldern, das Laub bedeckt die kommenden Frühlingsblumen und bildet eine wunderschöne farbliche Absetzung von Vergänglichem und neuem Vergänglichem.
The sun was shining so beautifully between the trees and gave me a great view of the forest I was walking along. The birds were chirping and I joined in with the song ‘Come Jesus Come’ and sang it out loud... this song has been burning on my vocal chords for days. I felt unobserved and free in the vastness between field and forest and sang it out loud into the distance, great feeling, I tell you!
Die Sonne schien so schön zwischen den Bäumen hindurch und brachte eine tolle Aussicht auf den Wald, an dem ich entlanglief. Die Vögel zwitscherten und ich stimmte in das Lied „Come Jesus Come“ ein und sang es laut hinaus… dieses Lied brennt mir schon seit Tagen auf den Stimmbändern. Ich fühlte mich in den Weiten zwischen Feld und Wald unbeobachtet und frei und sang es lauthals in die Weiten hinaus, großartiges Gefühl, sage ich euch!
All in all, I covered almost 8 km and walked at a leisurely pace for almost 4 hours. A pleasure for the dog of course, because the little woolly mouse pulled everything along and fought his way over hill and dale, which did the dog a lot of good at the end of the day... after we arrived home and the dog slept for a while, he looked at me afterwards as if he hadn't been out for 4 hours. Whereas I, completely exhausted, could really feel my legs now. LOOL
Alles in allem war ich fast 8 km unterwegs und mit gemütlichem Schritt fast 4 Stunden unterwegs. Für den Hund natürlich ein Genuss, denn die kleine Wollmaus ist alles mitgezogen und hat sich über Stock und Stein gekämpft, was dem Hund sehr gut getan hat am Ende des Tages… nachdem wir zu Hause angekommen waren und der Hund eine Weile schlief, schaute er mich danach an, als wäre er keine 4 Stunden unterwegs gewesen. Wohingegen ich, völlig am Ende, meine Beine jetzt erst recht spürte. LOOL
