Goodness. No superlatives are apt to describe this post and the stunning photographs that capture such a desolate yet vibrant, full landscape. I couldn't think of anywhere better to spend my birthday, or any time! That gorgeous grey creature under the (bastard) cats - is that some kind of fox? It's beautiful.
This is such a beautiful description of life here and these photos are everything. Everything looks so grounded and exactly where they are meant to be.
Sailing eighteen hours just to spend a few hours may not sound like the ideal birthday idea but you had so much fun and I can only imagine what the real life experience felt like.
