I recently celebrated my birthday in my hometown, Prekmurje, and it was the best decision ever! I spent my special day surrounded by the beautiful nature I love so much. The fields here stretch into the distance, with no end in sight. Right now, the wheat fields are being harvested, and you can see harvesters everywhere, making bales and kicking up dust. But no one minds because it gives us food.
Every day, you woke up to a beautiful sunrise and the sound of birds singing. There is nothing better than sitting outside, drinking coffee, and watching nature. Here, you don't hear the noise of cars or the hustle and bustle of the city. It's the perfect place to recharge and enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature.
Those beautiful ducks have a nest in the middle of our small lake. I tried to take a better photo, but they are unbelievably quick! Plus, my dog was ready to run and catch them. Of course, that's impossible because she's actually scared of them. But she still thinks she could catch them! :)
There is no better place to celebrate your birthday, even if you are alone, as long as you are in nature. What more could anyone wish for on their birthday?
I always love sharing pictures with you, especially the ones I take in my home country. Coming home to Prekmurje and seeing this beautiful nature fills me with joy. I can't wait for the day when I can move back here permanently.
If you ever travel to Slovenia, don't forget to visit Prekmurje! It's a hidden gem that you will fall in love with, just like I have.

It was the best wedding ever. 😂 Seriously though, people were amazed that we chose this kind of outdoor wedding, especially since the weather is so unpredictable, but we got lucky. I have so many wonderful memories!

Thank you! Yes, my hometown is so peaceful, and I'm really glad I grew up here. Living in a big city just isn't for me. I hope we'll be moving back soon.
I wish to move to a more remote small town, being looking at options for some time, hope you get back soon.
I wish that too. Growing up in a small town surrounded by nature gave me some of my best memories. Now I live near Graz, which is too crowded, but I'm lucky to have a small forest behind my apartment, which helps me feel a bit better.
Small village living far more rewarding, although harder lifestyle.

Imagine waking up to this scene, drinking coffee, and enjoying the sounds of nature. It's amazing just to be able to sleep here in a small wooden house. My husband's parents made this place feel like home. I don't need anything else, vacationing here is everything I need :)

How big are storks really?
Thank u 😊Around 1 to 2 meters? They are big, that's all I can say 😂. There's nothing nicer than driving and seeing a nest with two adult storks watching over their young. It's really nice that our country is trying to preserve the nests.
I've seen the movie storks And could not believe that there were birds that are those big in the movie and in real life.
Yeah, it's a pretty good thing you are loving those birds. In the Ph, recently we lost a Philippine eagle because some irresponsible locals shoot them with an improvised gun. They are endangered
Oh, people can be so cruel to animals, these birds are also very endangered.I know that no one will ever shoot a stork, nor would anyone dare, because the penalties are huge. Endangered species are never shot. What is wrong with people who kill such beautiful birds?! I remember when I was a kid, you saw them everywhere. Now, not so much.They had a nest on the street lamp right in front of my house for so long. Then, a big storm came, and their nest was blown away by the wind. Now, they take really good care of their nests, repairing them every year so they're ready when they come back in the summer. I'm always happy when I see them. I'm so used to them being here every summer, watching us from their nests. I hope they continue to take good care of their nests because they are truly special birds.

Unfortunately, yes. I'm just grateful that my country remains committed to preserving nature and wildlife. Despite our small size, we still have natural beauty, and for that, I'm very thankful.

Prekmurje is nice, it's made up with much nice background as well, true, the nature there is beautiful, so much love seeing the duck's and the young ones.

I just love this peacefulness. Oh no, she doesn't want to play, she wants to run and bark at them 😂, telling them this is her territory. It's so funny when they are already in the water, but no, she won't go in. My dog will only bark, and I'm not sure if she thinks they will come back? 😂
She doesn't want to share her territory with the duck's, it good she protect what she has, so that they do not take it away from her 😂
Yes, but she has a problem because it's not just ducks here. :) We have fish, herons, roe deer, hedgehogs, bunnies—everything you could wish for. It's good that the deer stay in the field, and my dog has no desire to chase them when they look at her over the fence. I'm telling you, this place is paradise not only for me but also for my dog! :)
