This weekend on my day off I woke up, prepared myself a delicious breakfast and drank my coffee. While enjoying the well-deserved morning peace after a hard working week I was wondering how to productively fulfill that beautiful sunny day. Came up with the idea - I've taken my bike, picked up the camera, filled the backpack with a bottle of water and that was only things I needed at that moment.
Enjoy the ride from my point of view:
- Sometimes, some obstacles for the one thing (in this case I had to get off my bike to convey it downstairs) are the beauty for the other. I appreciated that sight and managed to take some composite symmetrical photos, although I've intended nature photography that day.
- I liked the combination of symmetry and art in this one.
After 25 minutes of riding a bike I finally came to the nature oasis of peace - Maksimir Park.
Maksimir Park is located in Zagreb, Croatia and is a place where, despite its small area of 316 hectares, many plant and animal species have found a refuge.
Maksimir ist he first park-forest in Southeast Europe, was opened in 1794 on the initiative of Bishop Maksimilijan Vrhovec. In 1839, it was arranged in the English landscape style by Bishop Juraj Haulik. The architectural structures are mostly the work of the builder Franjo Schücht. source
- I didn't have any strict plans or the focus of the specific photos. I just wanted to enjoy my piece and appreciate the day I'm going through.
- Attempt no. "infinity" (But I got it!)
To be honest, with the standard lens I own, This frame was distinctly hard to shoot, as ducks are not the best people lovers and I had to come really close. Well, who would say... 🤣
- Apparently, I realized stumps in the water are more photo-friendly than ducks.
- Just look at this beautiful flower, my God... I was legit observing this flower for minute or two - then took a photo of it.
I hope you're enjoying photos at least half of I was enjoying that day. Bike recreation + Camera + Peaceful Nature is really underrated and pretty close to perfection.
