As you can see from the title of this post, I think I have found the most futuristic Mc Donald's in the world. Located in the Georgian coastal city of Batumi, this unique building looks like an alien spaceship that has landed right in between old apartment blocks. Based on this photo, I would like to give you a little insight into my editing process today.
Wie ihr dem Titel dieses Beitrags entnehmen könnt, glaube ich den futuristischsten Mc Donald's der Welt gefunden zu haben. Dieses einzigartige Gebäude befindet sich in der georgischen Küstenstadt Batumi und wirkt wie ein Alien-Raumschiff, das inmitten von alten Wohnblocks gelandet ist. Anhand dieses Fotos möchte ich euch heute mal einen kleinen Einblick in meinen Nachbearbeitungsprozess erlauben.
As you can see, the RAW file looked pretty boring. In Lightroom I focused mainly on colour grading. I also made the sky look more dramatic and I massively darkened the water and the pavement. I also highlighted the building by increasing the white tones and clarity for this part of the image. Especially the yellow Mc Donald's logo I highlighted a lot by increasing its saturation and exposure. In Photoshop, I changed the shape of the water basin, as the bright lower corners of the image looked too distracting to me. I also smoothed the water surface and the clouds to make the building stand out even more from the foreground and background. After a few final adjustments, I was quite satisfied with the result. How do you like it?
Wie ihr seht, wirkte die RAW-Datei ziemlich langweilig. In Lightroom konzentrierte ich mich hauptsächlich auf das Color-Grading. Außerdem ließ ich den Himmel dramatischer erscheinen und dunkelte das Wasser sowie den Bürgersteig massiv ab. Das Gebäude hob ich hervor, indem ich für für diesen Bildbereich vor allem die Weiß-Töne und die Klarheit erhöhte. Besonders das gelbe Mc-Donald's-Logo betonte ich, indem ich seine Sättigung und Belichtung steigerte. In Photoshop änderte ich den Verlauf des Wasserbeckens, da die hellen unteren Bild-Ecken für mich zu ablenkend wirkten. Außerdem glättete ich die Wasseroberfläche und die Wolken, um das Gebäude noch stärker vom Vorder- und Hintergrund abzuheben. Nach ein paar abschließenden Adjustierungen war ich mit dem Ergebnis ziemlich zufrieden. Wie gefällt es euch?

Big difference between RAW and the final result. You also added the sun glow which makes the image livelier. All changes look natural and harmonious. Great.
