Good night, fellow Bees of the Hive!
Here is my entry for the Qurator's Photo Quest | Architectural Photography, hosted by @qurator.
This gorgeous looking building is a seminar and can be found near the entrance to the Nitra's Castle. The building is already beuatiful by itself... but with the rays of the sun shining on its facade it lights up even more.
Its architectural features are something to appreciate with a bit of calm. I liked how the tiles and windows are so different on both floors of the building, it's really well thought. The columns on the top floor and the symbol on the roof make it look like a small palace. 🤗
The top of each window and the door are adorned with little angel figures. That, in combination with the catholic symbol on the roof makes it clear it's a building with a religious purpose. The building must still be used nowadays, seeing how it was in such a great condition. Oh, and there was also a window open on the top floor. Someone must had been up there at the time... I wonder what they were doing while I was taking photos of their building. 🤭
This piece of architecture was almost symmetrical but not quite. The left part is a little wider than the right side and you can see that just below the roof there are some small figures. These were lion heads...
There were 4 sets of 4 plus 3 more to each side... but the left side had an extra couple.
The first two seemed a bit off place and weren't as defined as the other 38... 🤔
Another thing was visible... on the lower floor, the tiles were different than the rest. How strange.
This makes me think that this part of the structure wasn't part of the original construction but a later addition and, for some reason, they messed up the details when ordering the job. Either that ... or the construction workers were a bit drunk that day. 🙄
I see there's a chimney at that part of the building... Who knows? Maybe the headmaster wanted a fireplace on his personal office? 🤔
I hope you enjoyed this post... and join us in the Photo Quest!

Did you know every user has their own profile map?
And so does every post as well!
Want to have your post on the map too?
@trincowski. I see you and many others reposting your own articles, what's that about? What am I missing?
In certain frontends, the posts published through the Communities will be hidden from the main feed, unless we reblog them.
I'm such an amateur anymore, I know zero about communities. Is it something I should familiarize myself with? Any pointers and examples are appreciated.
There are communities for nearly every single topic in the world. I usually stick to the Photography Lovers, as that's what I post more often about. 😄
Thank you. I'm not familiar with communities at all. Probably easier for me that way.
The details in architecture is stunning! I'm guessing the tiles are a bit different, as the length is different between the left and right side of the building. It would look a bit un-symmetrical if it was made of the same material, as if someone copy+pasted the building a bit too far on one side 😅
Ahahahah. I think they've simply didn't have money to keep the exact same style! 🤣
Haha, that might be true! That said, I do think the slightly quirky-ness of it does give it some charm 😁
That's a beautiful building! so many details. You have got a good eye for architecture :)
Thanks! Symmetry is easy on the eye... when something is out of balance, I usually notice it. 😂
Nice building, thanks for sharing these pretty details.
I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for your visit! 😊
Wao... me acaba de hacer corto circuito el cerebro... tiene demasiados detalles diferentes y al mismo tiempo tiene mucho equilibrio hahahaa muy extraño diseño, pero interesante.
Si, eso es cierto! Gracias por la visita!
Yay!
