Bzzz!
Recently there was a loud pop in the air followed immediately by a massive fire along the river near our house. . Dry reeds were burning...
On the one hand it is a very beautiful Еlement, which allowed me to take enough interesting pictures, on the other hand - a huge damage to the ecosystem.
It was a windy day, that's why the fire died and then flared up again from sparks. The wind was fanning the fire, giving it more and more new strength and throwing it over the still unburned areas of reeds
The heat was such that a free-standing reed, away from the fire, was ignited by the strong radiation. The raw branches of living trees simply burst from the temperature as the moisture in them boiled.
I called the fire department before I even got my camera out, but they were gone for a very long time, due to the remoteness of our village from major population centers.
People were gathering in horror at what was happening, but because of the intense heat and wind, no one dared to come up and do anything on their own.
And rightly so, because with such a flame it would hardly be possible to cope without personal protective equipment and fire extinguishing equipment.
On the other side of the river, too, anxious residents were gathered waiting for the fire department to arrive, unable to make a difference on their own.
Black clouds of thick smoke billowed into the sky as if enveloping the sun and black ash fell everywhere, giving the impression of a post-apocalyptic world
The fire brigade arrived slowly, closer to the junction itself. Everything was almost extinguished and there was no risk of residential buildings catching fire.
Having scoffed at the assembled gawkers, the firefighter began to perform his duties with a tool that looked like a huge fly swatter.
He walked around and slapped the flames with it, and it was very effective in the final stage of the fire
Most of all, I felt sorry for the wildlife that could not protect itself from the fire. The plantations, the fields, the coastal zone with all the local inhabitants were affected
Those rare forests of steppe Ukraine that adjoined the coastal zone were smoldering completely, to the delight of the winds
But when I saw the burned victims of this fire, who had not had time to get out of the thick reeds, my eyes filled with tears.
It was very sad to walk on the ashes among the burnt carcasses of wild birds, realizing that we, humans, are the indirect cause of all the troubles on earth.
(I haven't found a way to hide these nsfw photos under a spoiler, if you can tell me, I'll do it!)
On such impressions I made a decision to drop everything and start rescuing my family from a cozy place that is surrounded by grief and the horror of war.
More details soon! I'm gonna need your support.

The only upside to a fire like this is the spectacular photos

Wow, what powerful imagery!
Hopefully your village can get together a volunteer firefighter brigade for the future.
Under wartime conditions and mobilization, this is not even a question.
Thank you for your wishes!
The fire can be really powerful, dangerous and beautiful man, good shoots right there!
You're absolutely right.
An element that, when out of control, can cause a lot of trouble.
Fire as art. These are mesmerizing shots
Yeah, it was a hot photo session)) Thank you!
I'm so sorry for what happened to your area, and the wildlife. Your photography of the fire is incredible.
