Namaste!
This flower has been a part of my photography blogs earlier as well. This year I heard about a ban on this flower plant in an Indian state and the UAE because most of the parts of this plant are extremely poisonous. In fact, its name in Sanskrit (kaajamaaraka) means that it is dangerous enough to kill even a horse.
Actually, as far as I know, the reason for banning this flower in both Indian states and UAE is the same. These flowers are often used to offer to God, and usually flowers, fruits, diya, etc. are kept together in a puja thali and perhaps in an accident someone accidentally ate some leaves of this flower along with the prasaad due to which he/she died and after investigation, as soon as the reason was known, the ban on this flower plant came to light.
So yes, people have lost their lives by eating it unknowingly, so it is acceptable for the government to ban it. But the government authority of the place where I live probably does not want to treat this plant so badly, of course, some people may die, #JustJoking! :D
I think there are many things in nature that are extremely harmful to life in some form or another, but you can use them for the betterment of life in different ways, but only if you have the correct and complete knowledge about them.
There must be hundreds of plants in the sequence of this flower in the park of my area, and I have not a single problem with these plants provided a little is spent on spreading awareness about the dangers associated with it. :)
But anyway, this flower blooms almost all year round and this current blossom is the last one of this season. Most of them are just buds and a few that have bloomed are also not as big and glowing as the blooms of summer and rainy season. Probably they have also started feeling a little cold.โ๏ธ
By the way, this darkness is not because of any editing, but these photos were taken after the sun had almost set, that is why they are so dark. I was hoping that some different magic would be added to the photos in the evening, but because of this darkness, the magic also got lost in the dark. ๐HaHa!
I hope you enjoyed my blog and liked my Phone Photography!๐๐๐ผ

oh that is so bad man, for a beautiful flower like this one to have a dangerous substance that can kill. We do have this flower in my work place, and I think i also already shared it here. Need to be careful next time handling this flower.
Beauty often comes with danger, friend! ;P There are many dangerous plants and species that we do not know about and that's the more scary. Be careful and stay blessed!
Very beautiful flower photos, I am very entertained looking at them.โค๏ธ
Thank you for appreciating it, this flower really looks beautiful. :)
The display of beautiful and very interesting flower images.Good afternoon and best wishes to all of us.
Thank you for appreciating it, friend! It really is a lovely flower. :)
Oh! Dear! Very interesting and scary! We used to have these plants a few years ago. Some caterpillars really loved to eat these leaves. These plants gave us pink flowers throughout the year. Then, they started to die so we changed to other green plants.
I just did some research. This plant has some medicinal properties too. But only very small amount should be used by skilled herbalists. The toxin from the leaves could stop the heart from beating!
I am glad we no longer have these plants as those big caterpillars were quite spooky!
There must be some environmental reason for the plants to suddenly start dying. In our place, these plants were always flourishing even in the extreme summer of this year at a temperature of 50 degrees Celsius.
Yess! This plant and many other poisonous things of this world are used to cure the most dangerous diseases. Even in Ayurveda, they are being used extensively. But obviously very very small amount otherwise it can be very dangerous.
Such a beautiful flower but such a hidden danger!! Pretty interesting!
People should be very careful handling this.
Really! The danger associated with this plant is no small matter. Looks like you did not know all this. Meaning I have shared a great information wow! :)
Yes, you did :) Thanks
Indeed.
Nice shots and story about oleander
Thank you for appreciating its beauty! :)
Beautiful flowers and nice shots ๐ธ
Thank you! :)
Such a beautiful flower ๐บ
Thank you! :)
Beautiful but yet dangerous, aside from the cons they must be a benefit like the flower cant just be bent on killing it's too beautiful for that what is the pros?
Just like other extreme dangerous poisons in the world it also uses to make medicines for even dangerous diseases. It is extensively used in Ayurvedic herbal medicines but very very small amount.
Ohhh I see at least it has a benefit
Everything has a purpose!
Yes I fully agree with that
