On Saturday I went on a trip to Northern Idaho to go to the traditional Catholic Latin Mass, and visited with some folks as well. I got a few shots of the landscape. It was kind of smokey outside, hence the haze. The river that you'll see is the Kootenai River (I stopped on a bridge to get the photo).
You will notice that the woods are very dark. It looked as if there was no logging done at all in some areas. This means the rays of sunlight rarely get to the forest floor.
Back in Canada some deer stopped by a friends house in town: a buck and a doe:
