I miss my boat!

@daveks made a post that makes me miss my boat! I built this skin on frame kayak and hand carved the oar from a cedar 2x4.
The boat was later destroyed in a snow storm, but I managed to get some good images and a lot of fun paddling. I really want to build another one.

Hello William and welcome to hive!

I see that you have top notch photography here but you are still at the phase that rewards are so small that might discourage you. I know because I've been there and I remember the feeling.

If you don't mind a piece of advice from an older fellow hiver, maybe you should try writing longer posts, with more pictures, telling us a part of the story behind the photographs.

I am also leaving you a link to the post of an experienced curator that might help you get the whole picture.

I hope you'll have a great time in hive.

Cheers!

Thank you! I'll read the link. And thank you for the compliment regarding my photos.

The photographs are stunning. It is possible to be transported through the screen to that place and feel it... with a little imagination, of course. 😄 But I agree with fotostef's comment, and excuse me for intruding on someone else's conversation. It's something that many value here at Hive, that being close to what is being done and involved, beyond exposing the photography itself. Good luck!
