If you haven't been to any fruit plantations where you could freely pick fresh fruit straight from the tree, then you must try it. Buying fresh fruit from the store is one thing and that's what we used to do when graving for it but picking them straight from the tree is another thing. Aside from the fact that we could pick those that are in perfectly ripe ones, the fun of doing it is priceless! Great way to have a family/group bonding!
This plantaion area in Brentwood Califonia don't just have cherries but with different fruit choices such as, Strawberries, grapes, oranges etc.. For this particular day, Cherries was our target.
It was of course a free entrance. You could bring your own bags but there's free that you can have at the entrance. Picking only those that are ripe (usually in dark red colors) and never climb the tree and or cut any branches was strictly prohibited. You can pick as much as you want and pay at $3 per pound upon the exit.
Cherries we picked was perfectly ripe and sweet!
