Last Saturday, before meeting with my friends, I went to Yoyogi Park. Actually, my initial plan was to go to another park to see the Plum Festival but I'll be meeting my friends at 4 PM, and time check: it's 3 PM. 😅
I'll be so late if I pushed through my initial plan so I went to Yoyogi Park instead, which is just less than 30 mins train ride from where I live. I got off at Harajuku station and aarrgh, I totally forgot this place is always crowded especially on weekends. I arrived around 3:30 PM and immediately went past the crowd to get to the park.
It's not yet officially Spring in Japan but these cherry blossoms are already blooming. Why? This kind of cherry blossom is the first to bloom. They're called 河津さくら (read as kawazu sakura).
It's funny because all over the park are just dead trees or large ones with only brown and green colors but in this area, it's so pink.
If you aren't sure where to go since the park is so wide, try to look for the fountain in the middle of a pond-like area.
Although there were many people near the station, there wasn't that a lot in the park, especially in this area where the cherry blossoms were. There were more foreigners than Japanese though. Probably they're tired of looking at cherry blossoms or they didn't know it's in full bloom here in this place.
I didn't regret coming here to see the cherry blossoms. Now I'm not sure when to see the Plum Festival because maybe they're past their full bloom this weekend. But anyways, I got to enjoy a quick fix of seeing flowers.
And because I was enjoying taking photos and looking at the pink flowers, I was so fashionably late in meeting my friends. 😅
Thanks for reading!
See you around! じゃあ、またね!

these flowers blooming early is more like tell us there's always a way to find beauty around and soon dead area around will become alive again. Dayum, I don't know from where I Got to think like this way all of a sudden. !LOL
That’s an excellent idea 💡
It’s true, spring comes after winter means there’s brighter days ahead after the cold and gloomy days.
Yeeep. Winter is mah favorite season.
🥺🙌
uwaaa~ naalala ko yung tv series na three kingdoms, oath at the peach garden.
ang ganda.
Ahehehe daming anime with sakura kasi

https://wiki.d-addicts.com/Three_Kingdoms
di siya anime
hehehehe
Wow, ano to? Interesting ah
adaptation ng romance of the three kingdoms na libro. 😆
Yeah, kawazuzakura always bloom early, sometimes they even beat the plum blossoms. Sometimes I actually prefer this type, just because it's so busy when the someiyoshino bloom. I feel a little more relaxed watching the kawazu blossoms.
Anyway, wonderful photos!!
I think it’s my first time to really enjoy the kawazu. And true, only few people were there! It’s kinda hard to enjoy the someiyoshino because of the crowd, esp if everybody is in one place. I tend to go where there are only few people.
Thanks!!
Amazing, bests photos ever.
I think the Sakura is the most beautiful flower in the world! Congrats @wittyzell !
Thank you! It was kinda hard to capture because of the gloomy weather and the people surrounding it but luckily, it wasn't that crowded.
Aigo...sana mabisita ko rn cherry blossoms dto..kaht hndi ganun kaganda, makita ko lang real cherry blossoms tree. I heard meron daw sa botanical garden hehe
Try to see its beauty firsthand, iba din kasi ung sa photos lang
Wow those are some beautiful cherry blossoms. You captured some great photos :)
Thank you! They are indeed beautiful!!
So gorgeous! It must be so cool to see all those trees in bloom. 😍🌸
There will be more late March~April so I'm also looking forward to that, esp when they're in full bloom.
It must be lovely, and I hope you'll share some pics.
Amazing photos wittyzel.
It seems entire park consist of beautiful pinkish-red followers. I wonder I can't see any leave in the threes. Actually I have no idea about these trees. Thanks for sharing 💕😍
In summer, this tree will be green. 😅
This area is only a small portion of the big and spacious park actually.
Wow - its lovely to see those in bloom already - they look stunning. We were talking about that here last weekend, its probably another 2-3 weeks before they start to come out here, and we are looking forward to seeing them already ! but I'd love to see them in Japan, I understand they have some pretty awesome displays of them around.
These types are the first to bloom. There's more late March~early April.
I guess because when you say cherry blossoms, you'll always think of Japan. 😅
Would love to see how it is there too!
These flowers look really great. I liked the upclose look. The foreigners don't know what they are missing😅
It's really something to see when in here~
I'd keep that in mind✨
So beautiful! I immediately started looking for tickets! 😂
Hahahaha! There’s still more late March-April 😅
Ay wow! ang ganda. Sa Taiwan pa tawn nakakita og full bloom nga cherry blossoms. Hehe! Pero posh kaayo if sa Japan gyud ma experience. hehe!
Haven't seen it in Taiwan so can't compare 😅
But yeah, it's like when you hear cherry blossoms, Japan comes to mind
Sa Yangmingshan park ko nakita pero mas bongga ang Japan sa pa cherry blossoms. yung puro pink na talaga makikita based on the photos.
Hahahaha konting part ng park lang to 😅
Sa late march pa yung marami talaga
in fairness, bongga na tingnan!
That looks like a fairy tale land , some of the nicest 🌸 flowers !
Each of your post makes me more wanting to visit your country .
It looks so beautiful, right? 😅
waaa ~ so pretty! Nice shots, Witty! Reminds me of the anime Your Lie in April, huhu!
!PIZZA
I didn't watch that anime yet, (shame on me!) so let me watch it first so I'll know why you thought of it. 😅
Sa dinami raming anime, yan talaga naisip mo e hahahhaa
Nuod na! Thank me later. 🥲
Is this about to be the best time of the year to visit Japan?
Usually, people visit in late March to see the common type of cherry blossoms. 😅
Wow! I love to see cherry blossoms personally😊. They are so attractive and very much colorful in pictures how much more if you can hold and touch them how lovely that feeling would be. Hopefully I can visit this place too.. Thanks miss witty for sharing these lovely photos.
I don't see people touching them, I think because they'll be gone after a week so they tend to be mindful of it and to others too who will enjoy its beauty. But yes, they're so attractive.
Oh, maybe it's not allowed. I don't know about it too. Thanks for the information.
I'm also not sure but we tend to not touch them 😅
