A Walk in the Park

I went out for a walk in the park last week with my oldest - now 23 year old - son. Ostensibly we went out to do some geocaching. As it turns out, this old ass man is in better shape than his 23 year old son and we didn't get as far as I would have liked, but we did cover close to 5 miles. It felt good!

Ultimately we didn't find the cache we were looking for. It was up One More Hill that the man-child was unwilling to hike up, so we turned around and went back. So, no cache, but lots of trees!

I didn't bring "a real camera" with me on this trip but had my phone (it's a constant in my pocket when I'm out). Thankfully, for many photos, it doesn't suck. And these trees had some superb texture!

I'm not exactly sure what this tree might have been thinking or feeling to grow like this, but I do applaud it.

And this tree must be where other baby trees come from. I'm pretty sure of it.
