Last Wednesday, while strolling through the open-air market in my neighborhood, I stumbled upon this simple yet powerful scene. A moment of daily life captured in black and white. A setting that conveys routine, hard work, and the stories intertwined between stalls and products.
The choice of black and white was not random. Since I joined Hive, I’ve immersed myself in the world of monochrome photography and fell in love with it. I’ve met incredible photographers who taught me to see the essence behind the shades of gray, revealing details, textures, and emotions that often go unnoticed.
While capturing this image, I couldn’t help but think about how scenes like this reflect the moment we’re living in. After all, who hasn’t been shocked by the price of eggs lately? The market, which has always been a symbol of economy and freshness, now also carries the weight of rising prices.

Na última quarta-feira, passeando pela feira livre do meu bairro, me deparei com essa cena simples e ao mesmo tempo poderosa. Um instante do cotidiano capturado em preto e branco. Um cenário que traduz a rotina, o trabalho árduo e as histórias que se entrelaçam entre barracas e produtos.
A escolha do preto e branco não foi à toa. Desde que entrei para a Hive, mergulhei no universo da fotografia em tons monocromáticos e me apaixonei. Conheci fotógrafos incríveis que me ensinaram a enxergar a essência por trás dos tons de cinza, revelando detalhes, texturas e emoções que, muitas vezes, passam despercebidos.
Ao registrar essa imagem, não pude deixar de pensar em como cenas como essa refletem o momento que vivemos. Afinal, quem aí não se assustou com o preço do ovo ultimamente? A feira, que sempre foi sinônimo de economia e frescor, hoje também carrega o peso da alta dos preços.
