I love the bits of African national geographic we often get but this one is a piece of history!

I had to go and check to learn a little more about these Smithsonian wonders and it looks like most of them were built after ww2. So, this one is even more rare having served time in the war. https://www.trade-a-plane.com/search?make=BOEING%2FSTEARMAN&s-type=aircraft shows they are worth an average of $125k and there looks to be plenty on the global market!

Thank you Zeke, and I had a look at your link. I will have to go to the airfield to get the series number of the plane. I saw in your link that most of the planes are 1942 models, and according to my knowledge, WWII ended in 1945?. Maybe I have it wrong, but I think that they might all have been active in the war.

The skies definitely deliver many surprises over here, and I love all of them. !LOL
