Exploring music thanks to Rising Star
In one of my recent Rising Star posts, @trentonlundy1 introduced me to Prince. Again, a name I had never heard of before. Is this embarrassing? It's true, I don't know a lot of good artists, but let me defend myself: I don't listen to anything bad either. I'm just mostly surrounded by silence. I know many people work better under a good tune, but I don't. Shrug! Of course, I thought Prince is good!

I wasn't a fan of Prince either, he was my friend, my big brother. He told me that I would be a great musician 20 years before I even thought of making music.

That's almost unbelievable, literally.
I have poof. This book was published last year. It's a book full of people and their experiences with Prince. 1 of my stories of being at his house is in there.
I did say "almost". I don't doubt you. It's just one of those things that sound so surreal to people who haven't been in a similar situation, you know?
I understand! When I think back over the years sometimes I ask myself, "Did all the things that happened to me with him really happen?"

Primeira vez que ouvi falar do Prince foi em um episódio de Todo Mundo Odeia o Chris. Um ótimo artista!
Prince é um músico incomum. A genialidade dele é muito incrivel.
Sempre ouvi muito dele pois meu professor de música ( o primeiro ) era super fã dele.
Eu mal ouço música em geral, então conheço pouquíssimos nomes. Finalmente ouvir nem que seja um pouco desses artistas está sendo ótimo. Prince realmente tem algo de diferente, que é só dele, de um jeito que não sei nem começar a explicar o quê que é.
eu gosto demais de música, mas também é um prazerr que eu havia perdido. Comprei a pouco tempo inclusive um som para ouvir meus vinis e meus cds. Mas, quanto ao Prince, ele vem de uma geração de artistas raros. Dali sairam Ozzy, David Browie ( aconselho a ouvir, voce vai curtir ) e outros.
Nossa, invejei. O que você usa pra tocar eles?

I can't listen to music for more than 1 hour straight, regardless of occasion. My mind is already too loud? I guess? Not sure.

STOPPrince made a lot of great music, but I like some more than others. He was a really talented guy who could play lots of instruments as well as having some great dance moves and an amazing voice. Okay, so he could be a bit weird, but that sometimes comes with genius. I was lucky enough to see him live and he put on a great show. It's a shame he died so young.
There's bound to be lots of great music I've never heard and I listen to a lot. Music is just a big part of my life.
Anyway, I hope this discovery brought you some pleasure.

I've never been a fan of Prince
I think he's a genius, but it's not my favorite... Genre?
I love purple rain, it is the symbol of a very special and significant time for me. It is very rare that you do not know him because he is a famous person who represents a very special time of music.
His peculiar style and his music are exceptional, I remember how it continues in my playlists.
The most unique thing about him for me is his outfit, which is quite bizarre.
