From lowly busker to global mega star. My adventurous journey with Rising Star (day 6)

Day 6 with Rising Star is over.

Today was filled with lots of gigs, lots of trading and lots of knowledge about the game.

It started today with the opening of my card pack no. 4:

R50 - Ali is a very advantageous card at my current level of development with more than 1000 fans, as it has more skill (150) than fans (100). Luck (3) and IM (1) are negligible for this card. I really like to have this card in my collection.

i31 - Cheap Decks V2 and t6 Cheap car are cards of the rarity "common", which enrich my collection with two "unique cards", because I didn't have them in my possession before.

The parameter values of the cards are rather unspectacular, but as I said: A warm welcome to my collection.

After opening the card pack, my actual working day as a musician began.

Those who read my post from yesterday will have noticed that with 83 completed missions I was already close to the 100th mission that would reward me with a free card.

So my plan (from yesterday) was to complete at least 6 missions in each of the following days so that I could get the free cards for 100, 110, 120 and 130 completed missions as soon as possible.

A good plan, which worked quite well today, until...

I finally exceeded the magic limit of 1000 fans and was surprisingly confronted with my ego.

I already noticed the ego yesterday, but had no idea how it might affect the game. Today I know.

I quote from the game's help guide to the ego:

When you have more fans than skill your ego increases. Each mission also increases your ego.

Increased ego reduces the maximum number of Starbits you can earn on missions. Balance your Fans to Skill ratio by taking some music lessons, placing cards in storage or by buying cards with more Skill than Fans.

Ego only takes affect when you have at least 1000 fans (both drunk and permanent) or you reach level 15.

So now I had significantly more fans than skill. And that was a problem (at least for me).

I started searching in the game how to solve that problem efficiently. I then also found a solution, which I will describe in a later post, because otherwise I would exceed the scope of this post very significantly.

This screenshot shows you what the current state of my development is:

1556 fans, 1973 skill, 0 ego.

The resolution of the mystery is in my card collection. I have gained a little space for the next few days with just a few simple steps.

But to come back to my achievements:

As you can see, I managed to complete 31 missions today, earning a free card as a reward twice.

Since the conditions for tomorrow are not quite as optimal as they were today, I don't think I'll be able to complete a similar number of missions tomorrow.

But I am open for surprises.

And by the way, I reached level 11 today.

Before I come to the end of my report, I would like to share with you my ranking:

I moved up a little over 200 places in the rankings today, largely thanks to my greatly expanded card collection.

I made the most of my opportunities as a beginner, I guess. From now on it will be much harder.

However, I have to say that my focus in the near future will not be on player ranking. I have other plans.

And this was my report for today.

I hope you enjoyed reading it and that I could entertain you for a short time.

If you have any suggestions or criticism to my posts, feel free to write me in the comment section. I take up every suggestion with pleasure.

Thanks for reading.

Have a nice day and stay healthy.
