How are you today my dear friends from Buskeria? As always I hope you are doing well and having a successful day. Friends, yesterday I couldn't bring you a new post due to some difficulties I had with time, so I owe you yesterday's card recommendation. That's why today I bring you the card recommendation, updated for today. So if you want to buy some extra fans or take lessons you can take a look at that section where I will show you that section. But of course that's not all, as usual I also want to recommend a song for you to listen to, you'll see that it's a very special and interesting one. And well now that you know what we're going to see today, let's get started.

Friends, as always, we start with the song I wanted to recommend to you and then, in the second half of the post, we'll see what's good for today. That said, today's song is extremely well-known, I'd say it's a super classic of our time. First of all, I'd like to say that I chose it for today because I wanted to talk to you about something different, that is, not always talk about current songs. In simple words, I wanted to dedicate a post to a classic, since I haven't talked to you about one for a long time. Well, I'm referring to the song The Phantom of the Opera. I'm more than sure that some of you have already heard it at some point, or maybe not, nobody knows, as I say, there are always people living under a rock 😅. Although don't worry if that's your case because this post is for that or to remember it if you've already heard it.
Well, since this song is a classic, many singers and actors have performed and covered it throughout history, so as not to stray too far from the song itself, I'm going to focus on the original version, which is sung by singer Sarah Brightman. As the saying goes, "too much is too little." To be honest, her version is one of my favorites and I feel that it is the one that most closely matches the original version of the song. But of course, there are also many other versions that I like, such as those made in metal, rock, and things like that.
You know, I find it a bit curious that unlike all the other songs I've mentioned here, I don't really know when or how I heard it. I think I was practically born listening to it. 😅 So, from a young age, I've heard many versions. In fact, it's often played at home. It's a song that never bores us no matter how much we listen to it. Personally, I think it's a masterpiece. I think Sarah Brightman is very good at getting the most out of this song, which is why I chose her as a reference. However, she's not the creator of the song, which is an important detail that you should keep in mind. Anyway, I'll give you some context for those of you who don't know it. The Phantom of the Opera is a song that belongs to the musical of the same name. That is, a musical called The Phantom of the Opera, excuse the redundancy.
And the creator or composer is Andrew Lloyd Webber and the song was released in that musical in 1986, so it's been a long time since then 😅. As you can see, this song is relatively recent compared to other classics and operas that are twice or three times as old. And it's much better known than many of those classics. I think part of the huge success it's had is how well it adapts to other musical genres. You just have to try it yourself to see what I mean. On YouTube, for example, there are thousands of versions in various genres. Of course, the most famous are the versions by well-known singers, but there are also many beautiful versions played with instruments and in various genres that don't seem to fit, but in reality they do after you listen to them.
The song itself is about Christine, a singer, and the ghost, as the name suggests. The ghost tries to seduce her in a certain way. He explains to her how well they can complement each other and she tells him that he lives inside her, in the sense that she always has him in her thoughts. It's like a somewhat impossible love. The song itself has lyrics that I would say are a bit abstract, because they can be interpreted in many ways. I think that defining exactly what the ghost and Christine say to each other depends on each person and how one sees it, it is a very open lyric. Of course this is in my opinion because any of you can interpret it however you want. That's the beauty of the song.
That said, there is a particular message that I think the song wants to tell us. Again, I repeat that this is in my opinion, it doesn't have to be this way. I said it because if we think about the context of the story, the song tries to show us the importance of questioning the intentions of those who have power or influence over us. For example, in the lyrics, The Phantom presents himself as a "teacher," someone who wants to help Christine discover her potential, but here's the dilemma, his intentions are not entirely clear, or at least that's how I see it. So here's where the message I get from this is, that is, those who teach us don't always have the best intentions, and so it's important to maintain our autonomy even when that someone is our "teacher," a teacher in quotes because it could be your partner or your parents.
The idea you can get from this is that you should always draw your own conclusions, because sometimes those who teach us don't have the best intentions. It's rare, but it can happen. So friends, now I think it's time for you to listen to the song again and draw your own conclusions about what it can teach you. Now I'm going to leave you with the video, after that I'll leave you with my recommendation of cards for today. I hope it's useful to you.
