Rising Star - New Content Released

It’s been awhile since my last post on Rising Star, so this is long over due, especially with the latest updates to the game.

So what’s happened in the game? Plenty. We’re going to start off with the new Fan club related mission – Record Signing, with a series of four new cards

The first time I ran this mission, and thus far, I have only run it the one time (explanation why, later in this post), I received FA1 Supportive Fan. A nice little card that is the most common drop. There are three other cards, so the four altogether cover the range from common (FA!) to Legendary (FA4). So far, as of this post, there are no FA4s in circulation. I am sure that will change in the coming days as people pound that mission to death.

The first time I ran the mission (it required FC1), the following overlay popped up:

This is a great way to promote new independent music artists. Yep, I even checked out some of the youtube videos that Svart Varg has posted. Interesting music that covers a wide range. I am going out on a limb here by saying I think that the artist featured when you run the mission is a random choice from a long list of artists that Jux and the Devs are working with. It will be fun to see what comes up next time I run the mission.

That brings us to the why it might be awhile before I run it:

Yep, I need to have FC19 and have run the mission to unlock that card. What this means - FC19 is the card you have to have in your inventory, but there is an additinal requirement - you had to have run the Fan club missions enough times to have unlocked that card (or whichever card the Record Signing requires - it is a random selection of all of the Fan Club cards). That's why I have said that i you have these cards you should keep them and not sell them. For active players who ran the missions and sold their cards - good luck buying them back for what you sold them for - more than likely, it will cost you big!

The original announcement for the new mission was posted recently explaining how it works - https://peakd.com/hive-195370/@risingstargame/coming-to-rising-star-next-week-record-signing - give it a read for a fuller explanation on how it works, including the expansion of the Fan club mission with more FC cards (FC19 is already out)

I am not going to be grinding out the new Record Signing mission at this time. The only way to reset the FC card required by the mission is to run it and hope that it will next time require a card I do have. With 28 cards in the Fan Club that it could change the required card to, and I only have cards through FC11, the odds of resetting to one I do have is not very good. Am I going to run a reset? Sure, just not until I get a few more FC cards into my collection. So it will be at least a week before I do. Maybe two week. Maybe I'll get impatient and do it after unlocking FC12 (which should happen tomorrow).

I have increased the number of Fan club missions I am running daily from two runs to at least four, sometimes five or six runs per day. This helps make up for the days I am commuting into the office and am unable to get any Fan club missions run. Yep, I am not doing this on mobile, strictly from home.

Thought I would share a bit of my status on the game -

I've hit level 170. My leveling speed has slowed, mainly due to the number of Fan club missions I am running now as it doesn't award any XP. As such, it is going to be awhile before I hit level 175 and unlock the next mission. I am also running music lessons a bit more again as the number of fans plus the growing amount of ego from missions is closing the gap between skill and ego. For the moment, I am running drum lessons as it can drop a few more skill points than guitar lessons.

In order to control ego, I have picked up three whiskey bottles to hold larger packs of drunks. Each whiskey bottle will hold one set of drunks you get from a mission. What I am doing here is saving the largest pack of drunks (I currently have two bottles holding over 7,000 drunk fans each, and one empty bottle that I am using to filter out the smaller groups of drunk fans. When all three are filled, I'll buy another whiskey bottle. The plan is, when I have sufficiently more skill to accommodate using the drunk fans, I will unleash the thundering horde in a mission blast so I can get a larger chunk of Starbits while they, the drunk fans, hang around.

Yeah, I need more Starbits so I can farm more StarPro to run Fan Club missions. I have enough to get to the halfway point on Fan Club missions, and then I run out. Right now, for music promoter, the plan is to farm StarPro when I have around 75k Starbits, or more. Starbits from the Millionaire mission are accumulating for pack purchases, probably at the end of summer.

That's where things are at.

Nice post!
I have a doubt: where can I find the FC1 card I received? I know I received it, but I don't find in inventory. Thanks!

it should be on the cards page under the Fan club tab - https://www.risingstargame.com/main.asp?tab=collection - the tab is the one on the far right. You may have to refresh the cards page.

I hope that helps. And thanks for stopping by.
