according to the FAQ, the IM only affects the rank the player rankings. STARBITS per mission should be defined by the number of fans, the ego level and how often you ran the mission per day already. Your rare card does a pretty decent job also there :D
Interesting to see the required instruments to be different across players, I didn't know that
