Welcome to my first Rising Star "Reference Round-up" giveaway!
The winner of this giveaway will receive: 5000 STARBITS
The rules: are simple, (and explained below in detail) I will choose a card with a reference to a famous musician, song, or piece of gear, and you post a comment telling me what you think the card is a reference to.
For example: If the card of the day is E220 Caroline, you could comment "Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond" or "Sweet Caroline" or "That one song that goes SWEEET CAROLIIINE! DUN DUN DUN!!" Any of these answers would give an equal chance of winning. If nobody guesses correctly, the winner will be randomly chosen from everyone who entered.
For those who don't know, the Rising Star game is about starting off as a broke musician, and working your way up to success. It's got references to all sorts of different gear, famous musicians like Lemmy and John Lennon, and all sorts of classic songs. It was right up my alley. So I started playing...
The game involves different missions like "Open Mic Night" or "Radio Interview" which give you STARBITS for completing. STARBITS can be spent on cards that contribute to making your musician stronger and more successful.
The game mechanics involve things like "Fans" "Ego" and "Skill" and the whole thing mirrors the archetypal "Musician's journey." It's beautiful.
