Dr My Le Trinh tribunal hearing Update. Day 1.

I had worked hard to become a doctor, overcoming many challenges. When faced with the medical council's "indefinite suspension," it seemed like a deliberate push to force me out of the system. I suspected my insurance company might be involved, as they refused to support my legal battle during my suspension and only offered me a retirement policy, despite my insistence that I wasn't retiring. It felt as though the insurance company and health regulators were colluding, which left me questioning their motives. It seems that the whole system had been captured.

This is my story – I am an Australian doctor who has been suspended and harassed by health regulators for 2.5 years simply for prescribing ivermectin.

I have been relentlessly pursued and tormented by the Medical Council and then The Health Care Complaints Commission (HCCC) for the past 2.5 years. It all began when I went above and beyond to save a woman from cytokine storm from covid 19, as she feared being put on mechanical ventilation and administered Remdesivir in the hospital. Instead of being commended for my efforts, I found myself under intense scrutiny and pressure from the Medical Council and The HCCC.

Despite facing fabricated complaints and baseless accusations, I have been threatened with fines of $22k or 12 months in jail if I do not comply with their demands to hand over medical files and information. The relentless pursuit of evidence against me has taken a toll on my mental health, leading to severe PTSD.

The HCCC's actions escalated further when they confiscated patient files, particularly those with prescriptions for ivermectin that I had issued. These files were obtained without the patients' consent and were used against me. Subsequently, a GP was paid to review those files, who concluded that I was practicing below standard.

Now, after more than 30 years of being a competent doctor with no prior complaints, I am facing the possibility of having my medical license revoked for 3-5 years. The HCCC is scheduling a costly 4-day hearing in an apparent attempt to punish me harshly and drain me financially. Their motives seem clear – to penalize me for prescribing ivermectin, a medication that has been subject to controversial debates in recent times.

I firmly stand by my medical decisions and refute the witch hunt orchestrated by the HCCC. This unjust persecution is unwarranted and unjust, especially considering my long-standing record of providing quality care to my patients. I have requested an adjournment of my hearing due to my deteriorating mental health, supported by medical certificates from three doctors, but the Tribunal has shown no empathy or understanding.

I seek justice and a fair evaluation of my actions, free from the biases and agendas of the HCCC. I urge for a reconsideration of their punitive measures and a recognition of the years of dedicated service I have provided to the medical profession.

Please share my story as it is the only way I can receive justice by exposing the crimes committed against me.
