There is a book I have if I can find it called Ask Ed. Ed Rosenthal used to write articles in the high times magazine and he wrote a book of all the important questions he would get from his readers. Well one of the questions was "can you tell a male seed from a female seed"? He responded not to his knowledge. One of his readers responded by saying he did know how to tell and said depending on where the tap root came out from the seed determined the sex. If it comes out from the top or bottom of the seed it was a female and if it came out from the side of the seed it was a male. Well in that book Ed had tried the experiment and labeled each plant by that process and he confirmed it worked for him 100%. Each one he labeled female was a female and each one he labeled male was a male. I have never tried this experiment because i buy feminized seeds only but if regular seeds is all you can get, maybe try this technique and see if if works for you. I hope this helps you.
