I want to share my method of extracting kanna oil.
I generally use liquid butane as a solvent, but if that doesn't work for you, I can recommend a similar process as you describe, but without alcohol!
In my experiments, I refused alcohol, as it washes out chlorophyll from foliage and not only it...
I put my leaves in a pot of water and heat it up.
When the contents boiled, I add 0.25kg. butter and boili it a little more, stirring occasionally. I use butter, but coconut will work too.
(You can use any edible oil that sets at room temperature or in the refrigerator.)
Then you need to filter the boiled buds from the liquid (any dense, durable fabric will do) and rinse them with boiling water into the main volume of the solution.
When the liquid contents have cooled in the refrigerator, we can remove the solid cake of frozen butter with cannabinol attached to it, which will float on the surface.
On a steam bath, melt the oil again to separate it from unnecessary drops of moisture that have fallen. The water will be at the bottom again.
You can use it in pure vidi or for cooking various dishes, such as baking.
The liquid can be poured out, it does not have healing effects and is unsuitable for reuse.😉
Of the advantages of this method, I note the absence of the need to heat flammable alcohol, the simplicity and speed of preparing the product.
