I'm just now taking NFT's more seriously, but I agree with your opinion. I've always had a somewhat negative view on NFT's that are just images without any use for them. Yet, its more than likely going to be my first kind of NFT. lol
NFT's where people can earn from airdrops. Which is getting my creative juices flowing. Doing sweepstakes/giveaways would be another interesting way to use NFT's. There are many possibilities to do things manually.I've seen on the NFT marketplace for Weedcash that @chubb149 has been issuing
As for doing things physically, like burning NFT's for physical rewards/goods, that's an extra level of use that I find intriguing.
Appreciate the shout out Yeah I basically view the HIVE NFTs like Weedcash NFTs as rather rudimentary. Due to their basic nature I decided to accomplish something manually that is normally left to RNG smart contract functionality.
While NFTs on HIVE are in their infancy they are still NFTs with records to indicate ownership & that's the strength to focus on.
I like the idea of physical rewards or goods something rather rare where NFTs are concerned these types of Physical good NFTs are referred to as vIRL NFTs.
Mostly a phenomenon on WAX the vIRL NFT market has 2 major names right now Dibbs & Funko Pop. In essence these NFT collections introduced the concept of fractional asset ownership of Physical goods. Meaning you need to own the Specified group NFTs to redeem them for the tangible good.

I would be so excited to see a actual cannabis backed NFT a tokeable token the first of its kind. A NFT you can literally burn the headlines write themselves, that would be a form of vIRL NFT Weedcash / HIVE can do WAX & others likely cant.
