Rearranging Grow Spaces

Hello Everyone,

Things are getting pretty busy in the tents again and today the idea came to me to move the Green Crack into the bigger tent.

The reason for this is because I have higher quality more powerful lights in the larger tent and there was really no reason I could not manage a plant switch with the available space in the smaller tent.

Let's first have a look before the rearranging.

Big Mack Superstar/Miracle Mack Males

Here we have two beautiful male cannabis plants. I'm going to harvest pollen from both of them for future seeding. There really is no reason these plants need to stay under 800 watts of light and the Green Crack could make much better use of this power right now.

Green Crack

This is where the Green Crack was, under a 250 Watt LED panel. She had sufficient enough space at just under four feet tall, and plenty of light, but I was certain I could do better for her.

Measured from the top of the soil, 43 inches. She would not have gotten great light penetration with such height.

So what did I concoct for a solution?

That should do the trick!

Now she is getting 50% power intensity of the 600 Watt Kingbrite LED panel and has two 100 Watt panels blasted at her sides on maximum power. Currently I get a reading of 55k LUX at the top of the plant and 20K-30K LUX in most of the other areas. I will increase the light intensity of the main panel later in bloom.

Taking photos helped me center everything and figure out how to get good light penetration. I ended up moving the bar on the right out a little more because I have a bit of obsessiveness with things being symmetrical and even looking.

We can see those center panels are placed pretty dead center. Since the lights had to be raised substantially, I had a lot of extra hanging rope from the slip knots and I utilized that extra rope to pull the hanging panels where I needed them. It worked out great.

Now these boys can do their thing and make some pollen for me. Later on in flower I will take some macros and show what that process looks like. The pollen sacks are starting to form now. I'll a post on this process when they start bursting.

Green Onions

I've been growing some green onions, and look how happy they are with lower pH. Needless to say, I have a pretty endless supply of green onions from this grow bag and can add them to meals whenever I want. They just keep growing new shoots.

Cayenne Pepper Plant

I chopped down the cayenne pepper plant for new growth recently and it's doing great. I probably had 50-100 peppers from the last round. They are pretty spicy and I can't wait to get more.

I have a lot riding on these two plants. They are both Big Mack Superstar from seed, the last that I have. I hope they are both female and really need at least one of them to be so I can make more seeds! I just trained them last night with some 3D printed low stress training clips.

Lemon Tree

I decided to do some work on the lemon tree. I want to keep it small so I chopped it down some.

I'll keep it in the big tent for a while to excite some new growth. I'll just keep repeating this process until it eventually starts growing lemons. I don't really know if I'm doing it right or not but the plant is healthy for sure.

I have a closet full of different types of succulents and tradescantias. I've been battling fungus gnats for a while and can't seem to get rid of them. Some of these plants need tending to and better light, as this closet only has some very low powered LED grow lights.

It will be a busy winter keeping all of these plants alive, but I've done it a time or two before so I am confident they will make it through just fine.

That will do it for this update.

What do you all think of my idea to rearrange the grow spaces?

I would love to read your thoughts in the comment section!

Thank you for stopping by!

Have a great day! -@futuremind

Aside from the happy plants, other plants actually inspiring me with multiple recipies 🤪 onion dumpling, aloe vera green apple smoothie, curry instant noodle with onion sprinkle 🤤🤤🤤 fried rice with onions

You're making me salivate now 🤤
I do the instant noodles with the green onions sometimes. In fact yesterday I had that.
I have some good garlic cloves right now and thinking about trying to grow them as well.

Excellent walkthrough with the videos. GC sounds like a powerful sativa strain. I've got store-bought Blue Dream, Amnesia Haze, and Sundae Driver. Also got this funky item that sprays a fine mist that tastes like orange

Thank you @litguru!

I've heard great things about the strain and am really looking forward to see how the effects hit.

Sounds like you have a nice little variety right now! That vape looks pretty cool, does it get you super stoned?

It's not a vape actually, it's a spray tincture. It's tiny and delivers 2mg of a hybrid tincture for food, drink, or straight up under the tongue. It does get you nicely toasted with a single spray. Probably healthier than vaping/smoking but not as fast.

That's so cool!
I didn't know these things existed :D

Now that it's legal in Canada, companies are coming up with all sorts of products. I've tried probably 5 percent of what's out there, including a facial cream. So in other news, I've rubbed weed all over my face 😂

This is very insightful. One thing I never really considered in all these is the amount of power it takes to run this project. Over here, electricity supply is never trustworthy and the alternative means of power available costs a fortune. You are really doing a great job with this.

That is very insightful in turn of you to think of the power consumption. It is certainly not cheap. The lights I'm running generally use about one hundred dollars USD per month. In comparison to older technology, this is much cheaper than the old school stadium style lights would cost.
Power outages are not much of a thing where I live and would be devastating to my garden.
I hope this issue in your region get's resolved because no one should go without electricity as a basic necessity in society.Thank you @kenechukwu97!

Exactly. Electricity is very necessary in this modern society and I particularly need it since the stuff I do each day has so much to do with being active online.

However, electricity supply is a big issue here. We are all struggling to show up online and do a thing or two with the little electricity that comes our way

Looking great man. I cant wait to see how the Green Crack turns out. Keep killin it man.

Thanks man,
I'm hoping the Green Crack explodes with fat buds. Either way I have a feeling she's going to be a very pretty budding plant.

I really loved the videos and seeing how well you've incorporated other plants. You seem to know your way around them. Those green onions in particular. You're doing really well Futuremind.🤗

Green onions are really easy to grow and I'm also going to try my hand at growing garlic!
I'm happy you liked those little gif videos. I try to make it look like an airplane flying into the tent 🤗Thanks so much @jhymi!

You actually have great weeds
They really look good
Nice one!

Why did the visually impaired man fall into a well?
He couldn't see that well!
