Scientific study - watching TV may cause cancer

A new scientific study finds that watching TV for one hour a day may lead to a risk of bowel cancer with a 70% higher risk rate when sitting for more than two hours.
International researchers said that the results confirm the importance of maintaining activity, although the study did not include individual weight or exercise level.
Scientific study details
The new scientific study, led by Dr. Long Nguyen at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, analyzes TV watch times and other behaviors unrelated to activity. The nurses ’health included a total of 89,278 American women, between the ages of 25 and 42, at the start of the study in 1991. 118 cases of colon and bowel cancer

were recorded at the start of youth, diagnosed over two decades of follow-up.
Sitting for more than an hour in front of the TV was associated with a 12% increased risk, compared to those who spent less time watching TV. The results were consistent among women who had no family history of bowel cancer.
The results of the study, published in the journal JNCI Cancer Spectrum, stated that women who watched TV were often more popular with smoking cigarettes, with a higher rate of diabetes, more use of aspirin and less physical activity, as their diet was generally poorer.téléchargementkjkjk.jpg
