one of my favorite is the Harvest Cup which happens every fall in Worcester Massachusetts.
and once again this year’s was held at the DCU center where a number of vendors will gather together and folks will bring their best examples of cannabis to enter in the big contest which will be judged over the weekend.
It’s a great opportunity to hang out with people and Network and smoke weed and learn about growing cannabis.
The Cannabis arena includes every body from geneticists, nutrient suppliers, medical professionals,
cultivation experts,
Medical and recreational dispensaries,
small craft canntrepreneurs,
photographers, entertainers,
cannabis related media outfits,
security analysts, compliance experts, glass blowers, packaging companies, head shops, hydro shops,
THC-lebrities,
even clowns
And of course, lots and lots of weed
I was impressed by the number of entries in each category
but most of all …”flower”

This years Cup was very special
in that there was even a Cannawedding
Janet MacAllister the Hippy Chic was married off to very lucky Cody Reeves. The wedding Was a high light for sure.
There was cannabis in place of scattered rose petals as was the case with the bridal bouquet . It was great watching it thrown to all of the unwed females in attendance. One lucky lady walked away with the better part of a quarter pound, tucked into the shape of a bridal bouque of perfectly cured very nicely growing cannabis.
The homies from Golden Remedy Edibles hooked up the infused wedding cake, which was beautifully done and very delicious
The wedding brought out the “fam” vibe for sure.
After the short ceremony officiated by rev. lady J of 13 Folds Magazine
The wedding guests met outside, and on cue all sparked cone shaped pre-rolls which were provided to all in attendance.
In place of traditional handfuls of seed or rice being thrown around, there were very healthy plumes of nice, announcing the celebration, a sort of smoke signal, lovingly sent out to anyone in the area
In addition to the Actual Harvest Cup many Of the attendees were also participating in what’s called “the squash off” led by THcelebrity Uncle Stoner, a contest where contestants have their cannabis extracts evaluated by pot professionals.
They were also amazing artists on hand with their pieces, very interesting works of art and it was exciting to see so many people involved in making cannabis related art.
I created a Monstah’s Joe Sousa was there with a great collection of his items including this amazing Boglin looking bong… you know If I haven’t purchased it I’d be so madballz right now.
Local art collective Artifact Art Supply, was there as well as a number of artists including area local, Cassie Von DOOM.
Von DOOM said that @cannabis use was certainly part of her painting practice and also that she enjoyed participating in these cannabis related events.” With venues such as The Summit Lounge and Electric Haze, Worcester is taking the lead in developing a culture of Social Cannsumption.
Cannabis culture is not only allowing many municipalities here in Mass, to balance budgets, it’s also providing a platform for artists and musicians to be seen and heard by folks interested primarily, in art and music.
