You know, my favorite of the weekday nights is without a doubt, ....Thursday Night!
If you didn't know, Thursday Night ends on a Friday, and not only is it a close homonym to that dry adjective thirsty, but is also the day lots of folks get their paycheck.
That being the case, it's kind of a "no brainer" for groups to host Thursday night events at area bars and nightclubs.
For example, there is always something happening at the Jungle Room in Somerville, a venue I tend to frequent, and on this particular "Thursday Night Graffix" there was a cannabis related party happening as well,
over at Bud's Good and Provisions Cannabis over in Abington MA , and with the folks from Ideal Craft Cannabis and DJ Stenny stacking the decks.
Ideal Craft Cannabis is exactly the kind of legal rec. cannabis that I like to purchase because it comes from small cannabis growers, who have been able to put together business plans strong enough to endure the gauntlet that is dealing with the CanntControlCannabis folks.
As a matter of principal, I prefer my budds from buds and so over here at Bud's G&P, I was in the right place for an Ideal Craft Cannabis experience.
Super DJ Stenny of Mary Palmer even brought a bunch of them "digital mix tapes" he’s become famous for !
Bud's carries brands such as INSA, Hidden Hemlock, Pax, and Betty's Eddies.
They're competitive with other area shops, with cannabis pre-rolls available for under 10 bucks, and eighths starting at 25. They carry some of New England's top craft brands including Tower 3 and Harbor House. I always like to see what's new in the legal rec. shops. Here's what's going on at Bud's.
Bud's proudly carries INSA's (indica sativa) line of award winning cannabis products. Insa also operates a medical dispensary and is involved in helping folks get their medical cards. Medical Cards cann be helpful if you, think taxation is theft, tend to travel with edibles or concentrates, or ever go to live free or high country.
The cannabis infused beverage market is huge in places like Minnesota, and there are many beverage options here in the Bay State, trying to get a head of the curve on the projected beverage market growth, and so of course Bud's G&P offers cannabis infused beverages, care of "CANN".
They also carry Lost Farm chews, which are not only twice as strong as other leading brands but also claim to be "Strain-specific, plant-based and infused with 100% live resin and solventless live rosin for a distinctively full spectrum, true-to-the-plant-high".
Also in the house is the very popular Betty's Eddies. Betty is an "Eddies OG" here in MA and uses high quality ingredients and infuse their products with known medicinal herbs, including blends of THC, CBDV, and CBG, passionflower, chamomile, and L-theanine, instead of the problematic hfcs and red #40.
It's great when shops do a good job curating the shop with everything including the ancillary stuff. As a rolling tray collector, I am considering this Keith Haring piece. I might be dating myself but I still hear Christmas in Hollis in my head when I see dude's doodle dudes. ....Time keeps on slippin'.
Into the future, Bud's is looking to establish them selves as a quality community oriented dispensary, and have done well building clientele, participating in cannabis culture, and of course outfitting the joint.
Speaking of Joints, I had heard the legendary EDO G was performing at aforementioned Jungle Community Music Center in Somerville, and was coming with fresh vinyls.
Boston(metro) is small, but has a lot of traffic. If you try to drive from Abington to Somerville during the afternoon it’ll take you the better part of two days, but if you decide to go after the evening rush, it’s more than likely a 30 minute ride at best,
especially when you have a cute little Italian girlfriend, driving like she thinks she's Indica Potroc, or something.
She don't "eph" around. ... anyway,
Edo G is a Boston Hip Hop Legend and is credited as having put Boston on the map during Hip Hop's golden age, and especially with regard to his hit song I Gotta Have it.
He had come through the Jungle promoting his new album and performing along with a number of amazing artists, including the incomparable Big Brother Sadi,
and the lovely and talented Brandi Blaze
just to name but a few. The Jungle room is always a good time, and I'm never mad I made the trip, plus Union Square has food available pretty late, including at the jungle's BBQ neighbor my guy, Wade.
Getting GREEEN with the homies for #ThursdayNightGraffix.
Highly Recommended!
