Good evening WeedCash Network and Hive friends. It's been a busy few days and I'm only now able to share a new story from my growing adventure. The new cycle is going well, there's only one plant that makes me think, because it's growing much faster than the others, I'm afraid it's a male. Because having used my own genetics and not seeds purchased from seed banks, there is always a risk. Even if last cycle it was 5 out of 5 females.
Anyway today I want to tell you about my first cycle where I tried the LST technique, or for those who don't know it, I low stress training, a system of ties and bends to allow the lower branches to develop hand in hand with the apical top and be able obtain a compact and more productive plant by having the buds at the same height which take in much more light.
About 5 years have passed, for that cycle I had bought some Barney's seeds, 2 8 Ball Kush and 2 Amnesia Lemon, plus 3 seeds that I had found inside an unknown but good weed. The box was a 90x90 with two 130 Watt and 150 Watt Led lamps. Unfortunately 2 out of 3 of the unknown suits turned out to be males once the switch was made, a shame about the work I had done on LST which had cost me time and effort, but it's part of the game and we know it. In the post we see the phase that goes from the second week to the seventh, about 40 days of vegetative growth plus 10 days from the switch.
I confess that being the first time and having only received verbal instructions from a friend, my hands were always shaking. I was terribly afraid of breaking the plant, because I didn't know how far I could pull.
As you can see, I used fabric laces, very rudimentary and wrong because they penetrated the trunk of the plant. In fact, now I've switched to an elastic green thread, like the one used to tie vegetables, which doesn't cause damage.
One fine day I was in my room in front of the PC smoking my beautiful joint, when at one point I heard a loud crack coming from the box. I run to see and froze, a plant had broken in half, the one with no name, I was in a panic, I immediately tried fixing the piece of trunk that was still connected with some paper tape.
In the following days the plant remained beautiful, so two weeks later I removed the tape and I was happy to see that it was completely healed.
How many resources our girls have :).
But then I no longer bent that plant, I was afraid it might yield again.
Even the 8 Ball Kush I didn't bend until almost a month old, almost completely indica, (in the photos it's the two on the right of the box) they were very compact and with a thick trunk, I couldn't bend the plant.
While the hybrid but mainly sative Amnesia Lemons were very easy to bend to your liking, even from the photos you can see how well they behave. One of the two, the bigger one I was able to make the trunk grow in a spiral.
We have reached the end of the vegetative phase, in these last photos you had just made the switch. I will continue in the next post to tell us about flowering, harvest and quality. Thank you friends, I always wish you the best harvest and a happy 420.

Looking good, filled in nicely with the training - the dark green leaves look healthy. Hard to go wrong with kush buds;)
Thank you. Yes, that cycle went really well, I didn't have any problems with absorption or anything.
