Music are songs made by playing instrument or singing. Music is the special form of flexible abstract thinking, which enable us to use all kind of configuration and scheme in our developmental stage in the creative and integrative purpose.

From the beginning of time music and dancing has played a vital role in people's ability to communicate and celebrate event with an array of sound announcing important ceremonies.

In Africa music has been a social activity in which almost everyone participates. Music highlight African value with various traditions accompanied by a melody. Many events of importance as celebrated with music, weather is it is a marriage a birth or a ceremony.

The pitch level of sounds actually determines significance in many African languages, while the melodies and rhythm and percussion sounds are highly emphasis on African music.

African music is unique itself. It is any sound produced by playing indigenous African instruments like the wooden drum and other major the udu etc

Africa is well known for its lots of cultures and beautiful landscapes. The music in Africa has been like a special treasure for ages, full of stories and traditions. It's not just for fun. Music helps people talk to each other, tell stories, and build a sense of togetherness.

African music, from old times in places like Mali and Ghana to the cool music we hear today. African music is renowned for the use of special instruments like the kora, djembe, and mbira, showing how clever African musicians are in making sounds with things they find around them.

The beauty of African music is that it uplifts even as it tells a sad story.

Personally my love for African music started when I was a kid, this is not to say that I don't listen to Western music but the western artists mostly use western instruments to make their music and does not really passes the vibe I need as a African person.

I love African music for it's inspiration and the motivation it passes through it lyrics which speaks about the everyday happening in our continent and it's beats.

Aside the lyrics and the beats used in African musics. I'm excited and amazed with some of the instruments used. African music is distinct, characterized by indigenous instruments like:

  • Wooden drums (Djembe, Talking Drum)
  • Udu (clay pot drum)
  • Kora (21-stringed harp)
  • Mbira (thumb piano)

These instruments showcase African musicians' ingenuity in creating sounds from everyday objects.

Conclusion
African music is a powerful symbol of unity, creativity, and resilience. Its unique sounds, instruments, and traditions have captivated the world, inspiring new generations of musicians and music lovers. As we celebrate African music, we honor the continent's rich cultural heritage and the people who make it thrive.
