Hello everyone, welcome to Afritunes community week 119. My name is Danrabs and I'm very glad to be here. I like to kindly bring to your notice that this is my first post here and I do hope you will understand and pardon my mistakes and error here. But I'm very open to corrections and learn. I consider it a great pleasure to be here with you this week. I hope the week is being very blessfull for us all.

I will be doing a cover of a song title: Ijoba Orùn by Lara George. Ijoba Orùn is a Yoruba phrase which could be translated thus; "Heavenly Throne"

Lara George, is a Nigerian gospel singer and songwriter. The song is one of the most popular Yoruba gospel songs in Nigeria and Africa at large and it's known for its powerful and uplifting of souls spiritually and "lyrically". "Ijoba Orun" is one of her most beloved and hit songs.

I have carefully considered and chosen this song because of it great spiritual significant to me as a Christian. You know, sometimes, it very possible for one to deray from his/her track as regards to the heavenly race, sometimes, we allow the things of the world to becloud our minds not even knowing or realizing that these things we fight, shortchanged, oppress and even go as far as killing people just to acquire can't even take us anywhere.

This beautiful song also rings a bell to our minds that the whole world is full of vanity. One part of the song that stroke me the most as we will see in the lyrics is that part of the song which says " the money, cars, friends and even the education that we have acquired thus far, cannot even take me home (heaven)". Each time I sing or listen to this song, it calls for a sober reflection and personal introspect. Now am sure this is already giving you reasons to to appreciate and love the song the more. enjoy...
